Lazy Manga Authors

She’s just as bad as Togashi. She did nothing after Sailor Moon

Sailor Moon was saved by Toei. The manga is a mess to read, and we saw what Crystal's "canon" adaptation turn into - a boring pile of crap

God she's hot

Shut up togashi.

Fully agree

Looks like Toei is coming back with new Digimon

she ended sailor moon so she's above togashi

why does she need to do anything more when she's already a millionaire?

I never read it way was a mess to read?

Work is for idiots.

Being a mangaka, especially on a weekly schedule, is pure suffering. You notice when a series gets popular that the chapters either get shorter or more infrequent? That's because the author has the sales and with that, more negotiation power towards the publisher. If you strike it megabig, you can end your series and live off royalties for the rest of your life without ever lifting a pen up again.

She didn't have to.

>Finished her work
>Earn millions off it
>Didn't start another series just to put it on eternal hiatus
She's much better than Togashit.

>Writes one of the most recognizable mangas on the planet, that helped spearhead animu invasion of the west
>Lazy
So OP, what have you accomplished?

He ended YYH

And bothered to do another series

Did she ever work weekly?

Naoko a QT. Togashi a lucky.

>She did nothing after Sailor Moon
But that's literally false. After Sailor Moon, she finished Codename Sailor V

Because she likes doing manga? I mean, she could have any kind of release schedule, or even just draw one-shots with no deadline.

She has other titles though.

>Literal millionaire
>Married to another millionaire
>user cries and calls her lazy while pirating her works.

Unless you're hyper autistic like Oda or Murata, it seems like working weekly on a manga for years takes a toll on people. Toriyama, Kishimoto, Kubo, all stopped doing another manga after their big hit, and it's rare if they even do one shots.

hnnggh that 90s airbrush on canson paper aesthetic

really makes you respect Rumiko for working nonstop since 1978. strong obaasan is strong

At least she finished Sailor Moon and didn't just stop in the middle of an ongoing series. Mangaka don't have to keep creating new series all the time.

She's a beauty, though. Don't see a lot of attractive female authors.

Unlike rumiko Takeuchi got married and has kids

>and we saw what Crystal's "canon" adaptation turn into
Can we really say Crystal is more "faithful" to the manga, though? It's more of a fast forward version of it. Plus the actual issue with it is more about the lack of expression of its character compare to the first anime.

>She's just as bad as Togashi
People act like Togashi has only ever written Hunter x Hunter, it's really fucking weird
He has done
>a complete collection of one-shots/scrapped ideas taking up a full volume
>a 4 volume romcom that ran weekly (so, around a year of his life)
>Yu Yu Hakusho (which ran for 19 volumes, and his chronic back pain started when Volume 6 came out)
>Level E (a 3 volume series)
>Hunter x Hunter (currently 36 volumes)
>multiple other one shots/two shots that won awards
>has contributed art for other projects
And he's nearly 60.
Why don't you complain about Kishimoto not drawing manga anymore, he did literally one series. Kubo drew more than Kishi and he's coming back in full force. What about Toriyama, he had his two big hits and then stopped making manga.
How about Miura? He's been doing Berserk longer than HxH has been around and has less chapters out (and less completed series compared to Togashi)

Her manga is almost nothing like the version of Sailor Moon that got popular and a good portion of Sailor Moon's fanbase doesn't even like the original work.

Lazy? She created one of the world's most popular characters when she was 24, leaving her stupidly rich and successful before she was 30. Why would she care about doing anything else? She's able to retire to raise her family and do whatever else she wants, why would she continue busting her ass as a mangaka?

After Sailor Moon gigantic success she didn’t need to work anymore, she also married another millionaire mangaka.
