For example I don't see a Kakashi without Kamui beating a Kimimaro without aids. The dude is probably one of the most underrated shinobi out there. Gaara is a freak of nature and he would've lost that fight weren't it for aids hax.

Have you forgotten how Kakashi fought against Hidan and Kakuzu at the same time or how he held his own against the Deva and Asura path? Kakashi might not be the strongest without his eye hax, but he would still stomp Kimimaro

Even Asuma would kill Kimimaro. He only lost to Hidan because he was immortal and Asuma didn't know of his ritual, otherwise Hidan would have died the moment his head was cut off. Healthy Kimimaro would only be slightly stronger than Hidan but without the immortality

When did the shitting on Kakashi meme start? Yes his showings against Zabuza weren't the greatest, but in shippuden he regularly held his own against beyond kage level opponents

Vanilla Naruto where shit was more grounded he was probably S tier quality right below Hokages since his power was ridiculous and he knew how to apply it. Shippuuden hes nothing special since everything went nuclear and poorly written.

Gets hard counter by amaterasu but then again. amaterasu never hits anyone so i guess he'll be too quick for it to hit him. Still gets filtered by sharingan genjutsu tho since as far as we know he's a pure taijutsu fighter.

Jiraiya isn't that strong, every akatsuki except for hidan, zetsu and konan without prep could hold their own against three bodies of pain like jiraiya and the itachi being scared of jiraiya got obviously retconned

Kakashi is the greatest jobber in the series, when he first fought he jobbed to Zabuza and had to get bailed out by his rookie ninja who happened to be the reincarnations of ninja God's sons. All the progress he made in shippuden was purely based on his sharingan hacks. Without sharingan he's not even sanin tier.

Don't know why people jerk of Kimimaro when he's so limited as a ninja powerhouse. He's fast, yeah, but so are a ton of other elite ninja. He has good offensive and defensive techniques, sure, but check it. His range fucking sucks. Any character with AoE techniques can easily keep him at arms length effortlessly, as we saw in his fight with Gaara. If any of the Shippuden era Kage weren't in the mood to engage in one on one combat with him, they'd all stomp him effortlessly. Hell, even Asuma could likely have taken care of Kimimaro, and he was discount Sarutobi.
I doubt even Gai would have had to use any of the Gates to deal with a fully healthy Kimimaro. Kim never had the chance to be top tier because he was born without the insta-disintegrating bone projectiles that would have made him top tier

I never understood why ninja who were born with kekkei genkai or hidden jutsu never bothered to learn any other ninjutsu and only relied on their clan techniques. No wonder most of them are shitters except for Uchiha and Senju
