The Fate and HF routes supposed to be mirrors based on extremes.
In Fate, it's a simple good/evil paradigm. However, sticking to such an ideal, while praiseworthy, is difficult if not outright impossible and often unrewarding. In the original ending, the lovers are parted, while in RN, they are only reunited after a long period of suffering and waiting that is almost miraculous in its conclusion.
In Heaven's Feel, it's a very 'human' ending in that Shirou parts with his ideals for the sake of people, or rather, one person in particular. At the same time, both endings indicate that this sort of thing is not praiseworthy since his actions result in a punishment, whether be it death or becoming something other than human tethered to Sakura.
