We'll never get Fate/ Zero spirit successor, will we?

Is F/SF a "F/Z spirit successor" to you?

We won't get an adaptation for a very long time. Narita will never finish it.

test

He probably likes the whole "actual pragmatic adults fighting in the Grail War" angle. Though if anything, I can't help but feel that Fate/strange fake is more of a criticism of that concept.

The trailer looked really good, so I'm optimistic for now.

It's just a CM for the novels. Fate franchise is big enough that they can actually afford that sort of extravagance. There's no actual animated adaptation being greenlit. Narita doesn't want an adaptation until after he finishes it.

When is Vol. 7 likely to come out?

When Corona-sama allows it.

But that shouldn't interfere with Narita's writing.
I mean, he is sitting around all day long, doing nothing but weeb shit, isn't he?

Corona-sama decreed that everyone must stay inside. Who's Narita to disagree? Now if you'll excuse him, he needs to get Enkidu to Bond Lv15 and musn't be disturbed for the foreseeable future.

Narita will die before finishing this

If its Studio Shuka, it`ll be 10/10.

If its any other studio, it`ll be complete shit.

>When Corona-sama allows it.
LN/books are still being released in Japan tho, for Fate there are FGO Mats 8 (released in May) and Requiem vol 2 will be out tomorrow. Not to mention SF has digital version while FGO Mats doesn't

But Corona-sama told him the other day that he has to save up as much QP as possible in preparation for the next Lostbelt. It's nothing but non-stop door-farming for him now.

I can see FSF getting animated when the series is almost completed, like how Case Files anime was announced when the LN was at its last arc. All completed Fate LNs so far received an anime adaptations with Fragments being the sole exception so far. Heck, there's still no Fragments material book eventhough both the LN and Drama CDs were done long ago.

That's because Fragments sucks.

There's literally no value to adapting Fragments when Sakurai refuses to get off her ass and write Fate/Prototype properly.

>write Fate/Prototype properly.
I don't think it has ever been mentioned that Sakurai is also in charge of Prototype now, though most of Proto stuff (both Fragments and Prototype) are written by Sakurai and Nasu together

Not perfectly, but is the closest thing to Fate/ Zero that ever came out ever since Fate/ Zero. If it isn't in style or atmosphere, then in quality.

Nasu hasn't done shit with Prototype in a long time. The only thing he cares about are matters involving Manaka, since she's linked to Beast VI. The most he did with Fragments was give Sakurai some key notes. In fact, Nasu has pretty much nothing to do with the Servants of Fragments.

Even in FGO, anything involving Fragments is all handled by Sakurai. Even in the Sixth Singularity, which was written by Nasu, the one who handled everything involving the Pharaohs was Sakurai.

Incidentally, this is probably why Proto Cu is pretty much the least-fleshed out Servant in the entirety of FGO, bar none. Proto Cu is from Prototype, obviously, but isn't part of Fragments. Every other Servant has some role to play SOMEWHERE, whether it's in the story or events or another Servant's Interlude. Proto Cu, however, is the Servant with the least number of appearances, the least amount of dialogue and generally never does anything, ever.

I know, i was talking more about Sakurai & her handling the original Proto not Fragments. Since besides the Arthur/Beast VI (with a bit of Arthur-Ayaka relationship) in FGO, they barely did anything with the original Prototype draft. Though in the last Fragments Drama CD, there's a short story of Ayaka and Arthur by the time of Proto so i guess she's also in charge of the old Prototype as well. In FGO, Arthur's writer was credited to both Sakurai and Nasu IIRC.

Yeah, he seems to be a little more hands-on with Arthur given how he's tied to Beast VI. But on the other hand, he's completely and utterly lost all interest in Proto Cu. I'd imagine that from his perspective, there's no real point to Proto Cu given that F/sn Cu exists.

>Proto Cu
Oh right. The last time he appeared was like, Arthur's interlude?

Did he?

Anyway, yeah, Fate/strange fake will probably get an adaptation. Fragments probably won't. Labyrinth also probably won't. I don't really understand why Labyrinth exists.

Fate zero is unironically the most boring fate anime, everything else is way more entertaining

Narita's too depressed about FGO Fes being cancelled and won't be able to write anything for another year.

Question : would fgo work better as a vn?

No. The structure of the story doesn't allow for it to work as a VN. An RPG is probably the best you could possibly hope from it as far as interactive media.

>actual pragmatic adults fighting in the Grail War
It was filled with manchildren, user

Yes, but don't point that part out.

People always miss the point about Kiritsugu the same way they miss it with Homura
