Why do they keep making him white when he was african american? His real name was Odayum Nobunigga. The first black Samurai and the inventor of the katana, thanks to the black man Japan united into one society free of hate.

He’s akin to Washington for the US or Bismarck for Germany.

Credited to be the first warlord to unite Japan, although he was betrayed when he was almost done and Toyotomi finished the job

Sengoku era is the nip equivalent of medieval Europe, and thus highly entertaining with all the small feuds vying for control

He's more of a Lincoln whilst Tokugawa Ieyasu is Washington.

You're not funny

literally obsessed

He's a good villain because his ideas and motives are interesting. He spat in the face of a lot of the tradition and didn't really care about playing fairly which was a big no-no for most of Japan. He wanted a change things up. His approach to politics gives his character an appeal that makes him seem very brutal and even foreign-like. He lost in the end, but he's an endearing figure.

Bismark would have never been assassinated by his own men

you're funny

I wouldn't say he lost. He was just killed by some traitor fag that was also killed in a matter of days. His legacy lasted and he wasn't defeated.

You're somewhat entertaining.

Because he is based.

I read an article about this once, apparently Japanese millennials like Nobunaga because they even though he is portrayed as a villain in history books, he had a lot of modern and individualistic thoughts they can identify with

He has been liked by people for over 400years.

>hough he is portrayed as a villain in history books
what are you talking about lol.

Because he was fucking cool, that's why.

What other sites do you go to?

Imagine if France made anime
Imagine if it was an alternate France that didn't hate itself and wasn't obsessed with destroying itself
Now ask yourself why every 3 months there'd be an anime where Napoleon is a little girl, isekai'd or isekai'd as a little girl.

I sense this is a loaded question Zig Forumstard kun, what kind of strawman are you looking to apply here? I can help you if you want.

Is there any good anime about the Sengoku Jidai? Seems like half of them gender-bend him or make into a dog or something. Is there something like Arslan/LOTGH version something that isn't just shounen shit?

The best Nobunaga ever.

Part of the reason Japan is so based is they constantly portray historical figures on both sides of every civil war as the heroes and icons. I guess it's one gift they get to have that no other nation does because they kept out the invaders so all of them are related to all these people.

The dog one was good.
Also historically and because so many details I would say Nobunaga no Shinobi.

Based

Well, you have to take two things into account
A) this happened a long time ago and between an homogeneous people, so there are no hurt feelings unlike murrika's civil war or... Just all of europe
B) this was medieval, fuck you my army is bigger style comflict, so there were no shitty ideologies or anything like it forcing people to take an equally shitty stance on the matter 200 years latter

Imagine anime where morally good guys are lolis and work at Unit 731.
