Rewatch anime you loved
What was it OP?
Mob Psycho, rewatched it to prepare for season 2, ended up not liking season 2 and ruined my memories of the original.
Never happened to me, I only rewatch good shows.
> mfw rewatching old anime I love
> it's still as good as I remember
is there a better feeling?
this
I remembered Kamina's death being one of the most devastating moments in my past, hitting me so hard that I stopped watching Gurren Lagann next episode because I didn't have the will to move on.
Now 6 years later I decided to return to it, and after bingewatching it I got to Kamina's death in 3 or 4 days and was like
>That was it?
But maybe it's because I already got over it after so many years. The following episodes are such a massive improvement I'm shocked
>rewatching old anime i loved
>it's even better than i remember
This has never happened to me, maybe try watching better anime OP.
Last year I watched Nichijou again for the first time since it aired and I loved it even more than the I already did.
name one anime where this happened
A lot of older shows seem to drag. I guess it's true what they say about a child's sense of time and an adult's.
Wolf's rain
not him but
FLCL
only time I've experienced this was railgun
still enjoyable because i like characters.. but it's not great
hasn't ever happened and likely only could if i tried watching something from the 90s-early 00s that was on toonami that i only watched once and then never again.
That’s too bad, though I really liked both seasons of Mob
For me, the series that basically crumbles apart upon rereading is Shippuden
It seemed pretty good in the beginning when the chapters were coming out week to week
good one, but i blame it for the current state of the furry scene
Anything actually good is better when re-watched because you can appreciate every moment in context of the whole show rather than just the show up to that point.
Gun Smith Cats
Tenchi Muyo: Universe, OVA 1-2
Slayers Anime/Next/Try/Movies/OVAs
Battle Athletes
Hellsing Anime/ULTIMATE
Cowboy bebop
Outlaw Star
various other OVA collections
Mostly episodic shit, i guess this is the problem with overarching plots, once you know how the story goes and all the plot twists you lose a lot of rewatch values
No, it's the problem of shitty writing that depends on TWEESTS to hold your attention.
The digimon movie dubbed
I think a lot may also have to do with characterization and their development. If characters are to flat, or don't show any real growth. They can get stale as well as the story. So even small conformed series last with very flat characters because they are short and sweet.
For me, Soul Eater.
>notice small details you missed the first time
no better feeling
Well, I felt something like that rewatching rakudai kishi
To be honest what I ended up noticing was the awful usage of lots of echi here and there, the story, soundtrack and plot are still quite amazing, but it is hard to recommend that to a normal friend
This means your taste has improved a lot, since Mob Psycho is pure dogshit.
gurren lagann gets me every single time, i cannot watch the ending without feeling emotional
man I watched this shit without getting shit of what was happening, sure being like 13 or so may have contributed to that, but really, I still can't tell what it was all about except looking cool
>rewatch anime I love
>it's worse than I remember
>then the ending comes along and it's even better than I remember and I fall in love all over again
Gunbuster, every single time.
Kill me baby
