Yeah, everything about this series seems rushed. I haven't finished vol. 3 yet but I doubt they could have cut the filler and included enough of it to have a nice stopping point.

Nobility in this show seems to go to school for 2 years, get married, and have kids. Mamarina is only like 36, and she was getting long in the tooth when she was married at 19 or 20.
The fillers were a good addition. It seems like the light novel barely touched on the magic school at all. Even now, we haven't actually seen Bakarina et al study anything specific and the only practical lesson they did was the dungeon crawl. Like, I want to see them actually practice their magic, and see the earth instructor try and help Bakarina learn how to use her magic.

The light novel is incredibly poorly written. The entire Serious Dick arc is ass-pull after ass-pull and filled with contradictions. The best thing that can happen is never letting this writer go in depth about magic.

This is the Goblin Slayer of Otome games with real Isekai. It's a shallow parody of a shallower genre. What you see is what you get. Enjoy the Bakarina and don't bother looking for deep worldbuilding on a commercial mass-consumption product mocking softcore shlickbait.
