Memes aside can someone please explain the meaning and significance of this one panel? What is in his mind?
I got pretty lost
Agni

That's the face someone does when he wants to get off the ride.
MyNOT little sister can't be this cute
KINOOOOO
reported for low quality
Forced meme.
Reported for announcing your report :^)
It's a wojack that doesn't result in an instaban
Just read the manga, it's only 8 volumes. Happens halfway through the story.
lmao, retard.
No u
I still have no fucking idea what happened
The entire story is like a dream or some shit
On this panel did he straight up give up? I dont even know what he wants
The whole theme of the series is about putting on a mask, acting, and generally lying. And all of it supposedly voluntary and for the sake of other people. All Agni really ever does is do whatever other people tell him to. You can argue that he's just trying to do the right thing, but generally he's only doing those things out of obligation to others. Even in the chapter before this one, he's killing Judah because she's telling him to.
But while he's doing that he reflects on everything leading up to that moment and how he wishes desperately for a miracle to happen. The next chapter his "miracle" comes true but in all the wrong ways. In order to seal the deal he needs to have the agency to take advantage of a mind-warped Judah and live out a fake fantasy. He even asks her, "Are you Judah?" As if he wasn't the one who put the idea into her head in the first place. So, the one time Agni can act selfish and do what he wants, he still has to lie and do something terrible to another person in the process. Every shaded face in the chapter preceding this one is just building up to this page, as he's realizing how fucked up his future actions are going to be.
Also pic related was literally in the chapter before that, fucking speed readers I swear
It's the moment he decided to become an actor like the tranny taught him
He learned the advantages of acting, like making an amnesiac believe they are his sister. After being used himself by multiple different characters.
Did you really read it? You don't sound like you did. The manga isn't very deep or tries to hide anything from you. It spells out everything for you.
thanks
yes im a speed reading brainlet

Well, I'm actually glad this thread got made because I realized most of the fun in reading FP is analyzing the facial expressions and how easy it is to miss the first time around. I think the story and dialogue are great and all but when I sit on a page and just try to figure out what the fuck this guy is thinking as if he were a real person, it makes rereading it a lot more worth it.
It's kind of a bummer that people only talk about Agni when Judah's life was also really fucked up, and follows the same thread about roles.
The backflash to her father ending up believing his own lie that he told her, her first saying that the town should not be damaged but immediately sighing in relief once the fire starts burning down the city because she's finally free. I felt as sorry for her as I did for Agni in the story.
Do I need to burn for 8+ years to look like this Chad?
Yeah, she's pretty much the perfect parallel in both situation and suffering. In retrospect she actually suffers way more than Agni did, even if we cut out the ending.
Is super regeneration considered natty? isn't that what steroids literally are?
Hide the Pain Harold it's the real life Agni.
I fell for this meme and I'm now on chapter 7.
Pretty good and fucked up so far.
Not exactly? If you don't eat protein, your muscles won't grow after tearing and repairing.
I enjoyed the second reading for this exact reason. First time was a ride, but it really flourished the second time because I spent more time on each page, and every expression and panel made so much sense. Probably gonna buy the physical copy when I next feel like reading it in some years
it's fucking nothing.
It is the face of a man who wants to get off of Fujimoto’s wild ride. A 14 year old who spent his teens burning in agony 24/7 only to have his charred corpse regenerate, thinking only of his dead sister and the man who killed her. A man whose sole motivation in life was to live, only to question said motivation when he finally achieved his goal and realized how empty the outcome was. Live? Live for what? You can add “mind break” to the tags for this story at this point. He is told to live but doesn’t want to, so he decides to create a lie because the reality is too much for him to handle.
I don’t find the face to be funny, it’s exactly what I would expect someone to look like when their mind snaps.
I read firepunch before knowing of the meme as I took a break from Zig Forums for a long time, when I saw this face I thought it was extremely sad. Now I find it funny.
