Shonen Endings

With the conclusion of The Promised Neverland, why do you think so many series, with few exceptions (FMA, Ass Class, etc), miss the mark at the end?

Sasuke x Sakura FOREVER

FMA had a shitty generic ending though.

because unlike fma and one piece, the authors rarely plan an ending in advance

Say what you will about it, but it was the perfect ending for the series and what it's been leading up to since the start.

How did Kimetsu miss the arc? Everyone knew the time skip was coming for the final epilogue chapter

Knowing the train's coming doesn't make being tied to the tracks any better.

kek. i remember when the souma threads were full of shippy anons trying to guess what the souma x erina kid design would look like

>HE'S GONNA LOOK LIKE A GOD

and in the end everyone got BTFO

maybe you just have shit taste?

Kimetsu was fine.
Neverland was dead a while ago.

Can somebody redpill me on Soma’a ending?

At least Ed lost his power to perform alchemy so it wouldn't be all too rosy.

That sounds great

There will always be people upset about any ending because the story they have in their head isn't what the author envisioned. Too generic, too unexpected, too convenient, too many loose ends, too japanese , etc

Because nips value the journey more than the destination, which makes sense considering that the majority you spend following the cast through the world with all its detours

The only good FMA ending is the 2003 anime one.

You’re a moron if you think One Piece is gonna have a satisfying ending.

Nothing happens.
No ship was confirmed.

This

The 2003 ending was retarded what're you talking about

because planning a good ending is inherently incompatible with the business model of your series continues forever as long as you stay popular

Grown ups talking here boy.

Assclass was shit. Constantly acting like there were any stakes like "ooooh , is he going to die and who is going to kill koro sensei" when you KNEW it was going to be Nagisa and you KNEW it would happen at the end so the ending just came across as melodramatic and I honestly felt nothing other than finding it tiresome. Also the school fight shit was stupid, logical option would be to see if you can save him whilst continuing to attempt to kill him. Nagisa's powers were bullshit as well, being small and cute and abused doesn't mean you can teleport around people and be a master assassin and shit , it's so fucking dumb.

>Grown ups
I dunno, liking an 'ow the edge' ending seems pretty immature to me

Be real

Do you think shone readers could deal with anything but a cliche'd happy end?
Just having a bittersweet ending is enough to push those people into a depression.

is 7 Deadly Sins even worth reading?

Started off promising
Went to shit as time went on
Author was some really bad decisions on the fly to warrant bad characters turning good and vice versa, which stick out like sore thumbs.
Ending was very unsatisfying.

Watch the first 2 seasons of the anime, read another 50ish chapters, and then stop

Nope, as soon as they introduced power levels and scouters (yes SCOUTER FROM DBZ) it went to shit.

I dropped this shit with
>O MY POWER LEVEL DEVICE

Honestly the amount of moments with weak writings just kept piling on for me. It was pretty clear the story was made up as it went. I know of course many authors work like that but when it's so obvious it's really offputting.
