The Umineko anime is absolute shit compared to the original SN.

And anime.

I just watched Kill la Kill and had a hard time figuring out whether to put it in my 3x3. I really enjoyed watching it but figure I'll forget about most of it in a few weeks. I expected to hate it given how much I hate TTGL but the show's self-awareness made it much easier to watch.

WMT is shit. Why do you hate animation's potential? Why do you hate its ability to tell stories through visual means? Why do you primarily flock to poor re-interpretations of western novels and stories?
2.5/8 +Takarajima, Thieves ~Maruko

Given how your current list is absolutely abhorent, you probably should have.

Pity Ghost Hound takes such a massive nose dive during its second half. I am still baffled by the first half's sound directing. Probably Youta Tsuruoka's best work. Guess even a broken watch is destined to do well every once in a while.

Jap 8/8 although I slightly prefer Warring States over Adult Empire

Indifferent towards Ernest et Celestine. Also Fugue and The Battle of San Romano are better than Jeu in my opinion.

VHD novels are something I've been meaning to check out for the longest time. Indifferent towards SBR because every bit of perfection it has is counteracted by equally trash segments like Tusk.

Koike, Usamaru, Nishioka, Matsumoto and Igarashi in the same 3x3? Nice, I want to swap Hikari club with Utra Heaven, but I have to re-read it, the first time I had read it I was too stunned by the weird but interesting storytelling to appreciate it enough.
Palme no Ki and Night on the Galactic Railroad are two of my all time favorite. I really liked the backgrounds when and the mood when Giovanni get lost at the beginning. About Palme no Ki I like when near the end Palme is traveling and he's becoming more and more human (with humans' strongs and weaknesses)

also anime that I enjoyed. The message of peace of Fusha no Sha is what made me enjoy it more than anything else. Also the scene on the cliff was really nice

Fuck it. I don't recognise any picture. 3x3 that aren't satisfied with the popular standard shit are quite unusual.
I need the sauce.
For all of them.

>I slightly prefer Warring States over Adult Empire
I used to as well, until I had rewatched both for the second time. Warring States started to wear off on me. It'd probably still make a Top 10 movie list, though.
>Indifferent towards Ernest et Celestine
Very gay.
>Also Fugue and The Battle of San Romano are better than Jeu in my opinion.
San Romano could have been great, had it been twice the duration of what it ended up being. It's just way too short to reach the heights of his other works. Seriously hope his upcoming project is gonna be 5min+ again. Probably gonna be (one of) his last.
>Palme no Ki [...] of my all time favorite.
Certainly a very overlooked film. Likely also because the average viewer can't cope with thematic coherence and starts complaining about the puppet's "mood swings" instead of attempting to wrap their mind around the reason they are occuring in the first place. Film's a massive filter if you ask me. Bluray release never.

Ultra Heaven would probably be in my grid were it actually finished and not just abandoned under a "hiatus", but I appreciate Spinoza more from a storytelling standpoint anyways.
Taniguchi is for the thinking man.

Indifferent towards Eden

Ultra Heaven is good but not great. Art is fantastic but the fact that it isn't finished is also a minus. I personally wouldn't even think twice if I had to choose between it and Hikari Club.
Noah White
to be honest, at the time I made this 3x3 i hadn't read it yet. I'm planning on changing Tokyo Zombie and and Tadao Tsuge, but I still have to think about it
