Promare

1 hour and 49 minutes of thrash for 1 minutes and 30 seconds of good content, why couldn't they animate the entire movie like this?

What is there to defend, shitposter-kun? The burnish Kanada dragon looks fantastic.

looks EXACTLY like super tengen toppa gurren lagann, and also makes the same fucking pose. I thought every trigger show being the same was just a meme.

Zoomie zoomie.

So I suppose you also like Berserk 2016, right?

No, I like Promare, and its phenomenal are direction. How about you try to form a coherent criticism, instead of spamming vlcsnaps?

Zoom zoom

yeah bro, they totally were referencing lizard-drill mecha with that scene

Attached: vlcsnap-2020-06-14-20h48m40s998.png (1920x1080, 1.78M)

To be fair they're both smaller robots piloted by a guy with blue hair who are enveloped in energy and become a planet sized light blue mech as their name pops up on the screen in big bold letters. They're far more similar to each other than gr.

Imaishi has been referencing Getter Robo and its drills since Abenobashi in 2002, and then more extensively in Dead Leaves in 2004. The fact that you only associate it with TTGL makes it clear that you're a little zoomie fuck who should definitely lurk moar.

yeah, why would someone relate it to another anime from this millennia?

I think you're way too upset at someone for thinking the two humongous mecha that look the same look the same.

Why would someone like yourself only associate it with TTGL, you mean, and even act smug when someone more knowledgeable corrects you?
Well, it's the result of ignorance in regard to the previous works of the director, despite them being not even 20 years old, and to what all those works were inspired by in the first place, which makes you likely underage and unfit to have this conversation. But I guess lacking any knowledge whatsoever isn't a problem if all you want to do is posting vlcsnaps while dodging actual discussion.

So you don't think evidence taken directly from the motive of the discussion is relevant to it? Classic shill.

>u mad
What year is this? And we aren't even talking about the mechs, but about the drill.

What evidence? A picture means nothing if you fail to articulate a point related to it. What is your point?

OP is a tasteless, retarded nigger faggot. Reported. Saged. Hidden

what the fuck is this shit quality

Shit writing, there is a literal Deus Ex Machina that came from nowhere.

It kind of looks like HeroMan

that this embarrassing attempt of 3d modeling disguised as animation shouldn't have seen the light of day.

Attached: vlcsnap-2020-06-14-21h14m26s591.png (1920x1080, 1.87M)

that's the point

>Some little cunt downloads a fucking amazing film and watches it in VLC then proceeds to make this cancer thread.

I watched it in a cinema and it was fucking amazing.

This bit nearly killed me with how brazen it was, entire cinema was cracking up.

>and even act smug
You're the one calling anyone who disagrees a zoomer and "unfit to converse". You also seem to take issue with him posting clips of the movie and therefore "dodging discussion", but you yourself posted manga pages without saying anything other than "zoom zoom". Then afterwards you said this , which is pretty damn ironic. Follow your own advice and consider using words more often, what you're doing just makes you seem like a smug retard.

The usage of 3D in the movie is phenomenal, for a variety of reasons. In the case of the Burnish fire, it gives it a distinct, memorable look that is otherworldly and different from everything else. It's the same principle Imaishi already followed in TTGL, where the Anti Spiral ships are blocky CGI to set them apart from everything that came before. And Imaishi isn't the only one knowledgeable about the possibilities of mixed media, CGI has been successfully used specifically because of its unique look many times before, for example in Mind Game (2004), where it's employed alongside stop motion, love action elements and other techniques, because they all look different.
There are also reasons for its simplistic, geometrical shapes, both related to the visual vocabulary of the movie itself and artistic currents it draws inspiration from, but explaining those seems too high effort for a shitposter who has no interest in actual discussion.
