Because you want to gain SATS. You’re measuring against bitcoin, not USD.
For instance, say LINK shoots up 50k SATS but BTC shits the bed and loses half it’s value for unprepared reasons. Measuring against USD would look like LINK is doing poorly, when in reality LINK would be doin fantastic in that scenario.
