I used to be angry I would insert a crossed blood vessels emoji here if Zig Forums supported that like just pretend it was here ok that Mewkledreamy got new episodes before Precure but when I saw this screenshot it made me feel ok with waiting because that perspective is wacked and quality is worth the wait

To this day, I still consider Signalize to be an outlier among 1st Aikatsu openings, in the sense that it really doesn't capture the essence of the series itself quite well.

Agreed, it's no wonder the S1 OP they kept using later for new versions and repeat performances is Diamond Happy.

Signalize does fit S1 though. S1 is very relaxing and calm with some surrealness and mystery unlike now which is a zany prified bastardization of the series.

Otome is Alice roleplaying as an idol (or what her idea of an idol is anyway).. Ichigo is Regina roleplaying as Mana. Aoi is Rikka tagging along. Now the question is: where is Makopi?

That's sad. I watched Aikatsu S1 after watching PriPara (and Idol Time Pripara) so I thought I was used to idol shows being kind of crazy. PriPara didn't prepare me for Ichigo's radical, axe-wielding Aikatsu, nor for hand-to-hand combat action scenes from that one episode. I need to rewatch the whole S1 this Summer.
