It's pretty fun rereading the first chapter. I like how much the mangaka's style has developed since the beginning, but it's a shame the assistants didn't bother to keep up. The sketchy character art in the recent chapters doesn't mesh well with the detailed backgrounds. It also makes me wish there were more of these cool monster designs instead of all the humanoid antagonists.

I'm a pretty big fan of the series as it stands, but man, it really was pretty rough for the first few volumes.
Just mostly generic, I guess I'd say.
