Mushoku Tensei, Tappei's favorite WN which I believe Re:Zero is inspired by in some ways.
It's probably one of the best Isekai's in terms of world building, power ranking, and characters imo.

Pride is being built up to be a real special sort of sin, distinctive from the others even. Whatever the hell Pride is, it'll likely be Subaru's best authority. Lets see, if Subaru's authorities are inverses of their previous wielders, and if Al possesses the Pride authority, then Subaru will most likely attain full control over his loops. Al cannot control his loops, its completely random. Either he loops or another person loops and he mindbreaks them by default. The inverse would be 100% certainty loops, or something different.

Given the utilitarian nature of Subaru's authorities (none except Sloth so far are useful for combat) maybe Pride will allow him to show people what he experiences in the failed timelines. That's why it would be the last authority Subaru would get, as it would provide relief for him from the burden of being the only one that knows what happened, and give others understanding so they can make better decisions.
Watch the original run, then just check the last scene of the director's cut on YouTube. They added almost nothing and I dare say adding the eye on episdoe 4 of the mansion arc actually made it less scary.

Nah, I personally think that's going to be Gluttony. Since Gluttony takes memories and takes their experiences, I'm betting that Subaru's version of Gluttony would be to dump his memories and experiences onto another. Its not combat oriented and at best it'd disturb or disable the enemy. There is no way he's gonna be able to face the Witch with utilitarian abilities and save her, I feel like Pride is gonna be his ace in the hole for that.

I'll do you one better, it lets him take the memories and experiences of people in other timelines and share them with people in the current timeline. That way not only can subaru finally get over "Losing his relationships with others" thing whenever he dies, he will be able to forewarn people of dangers to come to them in a believable and reliable manner.

The previous Archbishop of Pride, Stride, was living in Vollachia. Priscilla, the big breast queen, has his famous fire sword and is from that country. Al was also isekai'd into Vollachia, and I think he was nearby. Witch Factors travel into the nearest suitable user after their initial user dies.
Maybe with Satella, but you cannot reason with that crazy bitch the Witch of Envy. Subaru's gonna need a type of spear against the Witch, and I believe Pride is going to be that spear. Pride is not only the polar opposite of Envy, but its quite clear that its the only other sin in the series whose importance is played up, making it a sort of rival with Envy. I'm not saying Pride needs to turn Subaru into some god being, but its gotta be a way to repel the Witch in some manner
That is an interesting take on it. However, it'd cheapen the looping experience. Still, his Authority of Greed cheapens the stratagem part of the series so its not anything too out of the norm. The reason why I theorized my version of Gluttony was so that he could derive a combat use from it too, like giving them visions of his deaths or something in order to decrease their sanity. I mean the Archbishop Of Gluttony is getting pretty fucked up by his memories.

So Al didn't have the witch factor during his 10 years as a sword slave? Unless my timeline is wrong, he met up with Priscilla after entering her service after he left the colosseums via the body building contest. There's no way a standard Japanese dude would last 10 years as a sword slave (losing his arm early on) and leave with the respect (fear?) of the slavers. It's pretty well established that the standard Japanese guy is weaker than the standard guy in Vollachia, he must have had some power upon entry. I assumed he used his time arena to 'git gud' at fighting through trial and error for 10 years, but that can't be the case if he was involved with Priscilla's dealing with stride?
That's another thing I don't understand, it seems that he sticks next to Priscilla as protection from Satella as he's deathly afraid of her.
