I started binge reading it recently and i like it but i have some gripes as i continue reading

which is it? Love love deluxe? I don't remember any jojolion fight being particularly bad.
Blue Hawaii is pretty bad considering the absolutely laughable setup for the Antagonist and how the entire arc is just literally

Whats wrong with giving backstory to already dead characters ? If Araki didn't do that's we would never have the Josefumi and Kira arc which is among the best arc of the series.
I wish the Higashikatas stayed as suspicious and weird, instead of becoming his friends or being relegated to non-importance. After Shakedown Road it just sort of stops and we shift to new plots.
Not really,I would recommend reading the first three at least to get the references to them. But just read it in order user.

JoJolion is the best part after SBR. Yes, it does have shortcomings here and there but they are overshadowed by the kino stuff.

We're at least in the second half, of course they're not that mysterious anymore. They're still really weird and some of them, like Kaato, still didn't get their time to shine.

Honestly Endless Calamity being explicitly set up that the effects are more severe and faster occurring when someone has "Bad Karma" and then Jobin literally getting fucking annihilated instantly after he takes ONE STEP trying to pursue the doctor is a good touch

Like after part 7 it dosent sound like that much of a "beyond the pale" idea that Araki will just decide the person hes been setting up as the side antagonist / foil for the JoJo should just get wrecked by the main antagonist rather then actually fight him
