watch the movie RahXephon: Tagen Hensoukyoku. Forget the series
i did. it made more clear that the most important goal was the reunion of fated lovers. but i still didn't care for anything else.
also, tune the rainbow is the shit.
Just why ? Series is a masterpiece, the last 8 episodes are just that good.
Not enough love for Rahxephon..
this show fucks. the konaka episodes are some of my favorite in anime period.
its NGE but good.
Ost is good too.

This tracks looks like some Popol Vuh circa Einsjäger & Siebenjäger era.
my nigga. that's my favorite track.
This tracks makes the end of episode 21 when Mamoru slaps Megumi unforgettable.
All that matters is: the cake won.
I don't care that the episode where Ayato fights Hiroko's Dolem is basically just the Shinji vs Eva 03 fight in Evangelion, it was still great. Why did this show get forgotten?
It's an underrated masterpiece. The series that is. The movie is too rushed and is only good for the sex scene.
It’s not that deep user
Often regarded as an Eva clone when at it's core it's the opposite of it.
Because it was still just evangelion, and evangelion exists.
It didn't even try like other eva rip-offs.
Lazyphon
This
its NGE for teens
I'd say it's an Eva clone superficially, like yeah all the similarities everyone points out are probably not coincidence but RahXephon was more about optimism, how even from death life can spring and uses music as a motif while Eva was more about how you should make friends.
NGE is already for teens.
holy mother of based
The romance in this show was garbage
rewatch it after 4 years
Another good Bones show.
NGE but the symbolism matters
Been a while since I watched it, but yes it all clicks into place. The last few episodes pretty much solve all questions you might have.
great soundtrack though
Yeah, the first time I watched it ages ago I couldn't understand what the absolute fuck it was about, and the movie made it much clearer.
Eva at it's core is a psychological study of broken people where as Rahxephon is a love story.
Blue blood.
I loved the show because of the presentation; it had godlike tone and atmospheric direction, plus it manipulated emotional responses to plot beats very well. Helps that it had a kickass soundtrack and artstyle too. Plot's pretty run of the mill though, feels like a wholesale aping of Eva, but I could overlook that flaw because everything else was so enjoyable. So if you're going into this looking for a super tight and well written story you won't like it very well.
Yeah. You should watch it again. There's also a PS2 JP only game with extra content you can play if you've kept up your training against dekinaichan.
