Mahjong powerlevel thread

Would akagi or koizumi win in a mahjong match? While we're at it, what's the highest mahjong powerlevel in animango?

Akagi is about a really smart guy with an incredible sense for the flow, Koizumi is about reality benders, do the math

Every world leader in Koizumi can make quadruple yakuman by turn 2 and Koizumi himself beat Hitler who could literally use quantum mahjong by creating tiles out of nothing
If anything, why the fuck would Akagi bother

saki scares me like no other

Damn, I still need to watch the Season 2 of Saki. Is it even better than S1?

you should watch achiga first
I don't know if it's better, but it does keep the quality up

Toitoi is a fucking good hand though. Fanpai only is the bad hand.

Is there any mahjong manga that is realistic instead of completely retarded?

There's nothing really fantastical about Akagi (well the Hell stuff near the end I guess). It has twists and turns of logic and stuff but I doubt you could have an interesting mahjong manga if you go more grounded than Akagi. I haven't read Ten yet so I don't know how it compares to Akagi.

Yeah that'll be boring as hell

>yakuman tenpai
>riichi

Only someone that didn't play mahjong would say this

Read Ten after Akagi, it's pretty grounded in many aspects. They still get specific hands at specific times which can be fishy, but the way these things end up working for or against the players is very grounded. You get things that happen in real games like "I'll pass this tile and try to improve my hand" leading to disaster, compromising against an opponent's push leading to failure, and so on.

I guess you could read Kirinji if you really want a more average hand distribution (aka:70% of the hands are pinfu/riichi/fanpai), but it's pretty retarded in its own right despite claiming to be the REALISTIC mahjong manga. Pretty obnoxious imo.
