It's my favourite shit ever across any medium. It's personally meaningful and relatable but it's also just extremely enjoyable to watch whenever.

I feel the sam eway, it's by far my favorite series, not just anime. There is so much to it, and every single character is so well realized. I feel like Monogatari understands me, does that make sense? Like every single character seems to outline a problem I have, and in turn, it's helped me grow.

The one-two hit of Oishi goodness in Hidamari Sketch and Bakemonogatari is what got me into animation production. Seeing AbeGen and IMMR's scenes on those two shows was what made me look up who animated what for the first time.

I found my one and only waifu there. So I guess it's pretty meaningful to me.

I majored in graphic design because of it and now I make shitty picture dramas.

Same here. Nisio's writing is unique.

Literally made me not kill myself. Nisio showed me that there are people with the mindset/wordview similar to mine that are successful.
Shaped a lot of my ethical views when first watched it as a teen.
Got me into creative writing.

It gave me glasses fetish

Bake did all of these things for me too. It has made me realize that I am going to be okay, that there are people who feel the same way that I do, and just like them I can get myself out of it. Honestly it's such a beautiful series.

Monogatari has made me want to get into all of that stuff. I want to get into making my own stories because of this series, I am working on some stuff now and it's genuinely given me something I feel like is worth perusing. I owe it a lot.

Nisio wrote Hitagi Crab just for fun. That blows my mind.

I want to read banter as good as Crab and ragi banter, any recommendations?

It's basically discount grisaia, but anime

Do you guys have any work to share?

Unfortunately I have nothing that I am comfortable sharing right now, just some rough drafts, but I really love working with conversations and banter the same way NisiOisiN does. I really want to write a story about how different people deal with loneliness and trauma, and how some people deal with them in positive ways and grow as people, while others go down self destructive paths and end up hurting both themselves and other people in irreparable ways. I always thought that was a very interesting dichotomy, especially with the amount of nuance that can be put into how different people process different things.

user this is literary what I need in my life right now. Please share a short conversation at the very least

Took prevalent archetypes found in harem and sort of inspected why such a person could exist.
Why would a tsundere be cold?
Why would a tomboy want to be like a boy?
Why would a loli be forever a loli?

Been planning to watch it, what order do in watch it in?

Broadcast. You can do chronological after.

This always blows my mind. Also the way he fucks with the harem genre by creating a harem where every character in it feels a completely different type of love than the others. It's a surface level harem that's actually a lot less peachy than the character interactions would have you believe

Don't listen to the retards that say strict broadcast order. Watch Kizu after Bake. There are some other differences here and there but none so significant as to how late Kizu broadcasted with respect to the actual planned release date.

Hey I fucking love this, user. Like, a lot.

Can we talk about how this is the best best character of every arc he’s in whether he has 5 minutes of screen time or is the MC. how is such a lovable “villain” even real
good post
this but kizu after bake

I would say broadcast just because I love non-linear storytelling. Chronological is a good way to watch too though.

I don't really think watch order is that important. You can watch Kizu whenever and it's fine.

I hate Koi because Crab basically cheated on Araragi. A lie is a lie.

Deep and though provoking. An anime that dazzled me both artistically and philosophically.
I love how the characters at a superficial level are stock anime character tropes. yet they are multilayered and actually grow.
There would never be a series so amazing like Monogatari ever again

The order it was written in, i.e. the correct one.

Watching Kizu after Bake would soften Bake's impact.

I meant before. Watch Bake first

Protecting your loved ones even if it means stepping over yourself is what Yamato Nadeshiko is supposed to do.

And then she lied about everything.

I'm confused what are you referring to

Episode 4 of bake.

Thanks, now agree on one

She didn't tell Araragi a thing. Even after Kaiki finished the job.

It does everything it wants to so well I can't help but be enticed by it. It got me into Storyboarding and amateur directing so that's pretty neat.

I really wanted to like this series since I absolutely love SHAFT as they have made most of my all time favorites but i just couldn't get into it. I believe I watched half of the first season, maybe this thread can help me give it another go.

>lying=cheating
part of being in a relationship is working with each others flaws, RRRG was being stubborn (and even continues to be while kaiki confronts him after literally solving their problem.) granted being stubborn is his main trait, crab had to act instead of letting him daily get torn to shreds

Oh if you mean when the promise they made to never lie when it comes to apparitions that was episode 5
Yea this does go against the promise they made but I understand why she didn't tell him. Kaiki and Araragi is the worst possible matchup for Rrrg and Gahara fears the man so much she doesn't even want Rararagi to have to think about him ever again

Novel order, ie the order in the picture. You can also do broadcast order (which is basically identical), as long as you watch kizu after bake

She made a cuck out of him. She went to her first love for help behind Araragi's back. It's really bad.

Since you're already halfway through Bake, why not give the Kizu movies a shot and see if you like them
