Why is he so unlikable?
Why is he so unlikable?
i like him
Punchable face and he whines too much.
I like him.
Because you hate yourself and this super annoying face
I don't like or hate him, but I am interested in how this goes. He comes off as crazy to everyone else, but it's funny as hell since we know everything he's suffered. Poor guy went into this trying to pull the insekai chad trope and got turned inside out.
Subaru is quite literally the biggest pleb filter that isekaishits faced
Scene was nowhere near as cringe as I thought it was going to be.
because he reminds you of yourself
why are you so unlikable? i hate you
He’s my favorite character. His development is great
Because the anime is about struggle and Subaru will have to struggle more if he's both mentally and physically weak?
He isn’t that different than the standard isekai protags in character, he is just put in a special context that forces him to suffer. I didn’t find him unlikeable so much as I found him bland and uninteresting. He reacts more or less exactly as you would expect him to. As a result his “character development” through suffering is not only predictable, but ends up being shallow. I have only read a little bit of the LN in addition to watching S1 so not really knowing much going forward I hope his character can be expanded in S2 since no other characters have really been developed and it seems the series is always gonna be focused on Subaru
>little bit of the LN
Read the WN. The LN absolutely butchers character development.
Subaru is a good character. It's pretty crazy how much unwarranted hate he gets.
Because you don't like yourself.
That’s because Isekaishitters are used to having “cool” and OP MCs. Subaru is weak and powerless, so it turns them off.
Dying over and over would mentally destroy anyone, I’m surprised he isn’t even more pathetic.
He's plenty likeable, of course you'd hate someone if you saw someone at their absolute lowest moment and never saw them build themselves back up, which i'm guessing is what you did when you dropped this show here
Not to mention his lowest moments hit a little too close to him for many of the fags here and made them do some unwanted reflecting
Because he hits too close to home. It's like a desire to break a mirror.
The amount of cringe I experienced with the knight hall scene made me put the series on hold for four days before continuing.
But I understood that Subaru is a flawed character and was still in the delusion that he was the MC and everyone should cater and be grateful to him, like some NPC. So I don't have a hater boner for him.
based
I am not going to read any more extra stuff for this series, I don’t even remember much of what I read from the LN. I will just wait for S2.
>Why is he so fuckable?
FTFY
Fuck off Satella
This guy gets it
The start of Arc 3 is where Subaru finally realizes what he says/does has consequences. He has the witch's curse but he doesn't fully control it. It was a clash of his hubris because of his 'power' and him coming to terms with his actual current power level.
I will say its sort of a running theme for the series where the author likes to make the reader/viewer feels second hand suffering/embarrassment on an insane scale.
OH PLEASE DONT LET ME DIE
Rate the openings endings of the show
For me its
ED1>OP2=OP3>OP1>ED2
I didn't like him when I was animeonly, but after reading up to Arc 6+SS, I can't say I dislike him as much as I did.
This
SPOON
SAURON
because unlike most isekai mc's, he is an accurate representation of your average otaku neet, and you hate seeing yourself in the mirror
Powerful projection ngl
Funny thing is, he's still not as bad as the average user. He was smart enough to not want to get fat so he made sure to stay in shape even as a NEET and he also didn't only play video games, he took up a ton of different hobbies so he's decent as sewing and playing the guitar
Basically isekai okabe but a bit less annoying
not saying a lot but still
I love him. characters should be flawed but he has redeemable qualities
I love him
Also where can I read the light novels
