Part 6 is my favorite but even before this virus I was never certain it would even BE animated. Way I saw it after the part 3 teaser was that no future part was guaranteed beyond part 5 absolutely happening if they did part 4. So I'm still not sure if they animate SO.

This is what paranoia does to you.

Why would part 5 absolutely happens after part 4?

My reasoning is basically that David could have chosen to stop after part three because "fuck it, Vampire saga is over, we aren't animating ALL of this shit", but once they go beyond that point there's just zero justification to not do part 5 because its pretty popular.

Part 5 is the second most popular in Japan after Part 3, and by a large margin. Short of Part 4 outright bankrupting them there was no way they wouldn't do 5.

I think they will do 6 though. Jolyne was in the Part 1 opening and it's the conclusion of the original universe. What's completely uncertain is Part 7, between Part 6 being unpopular, Part 7 also not being very popular in Japan, it being a reboot, and the difficulty of animating horses. Basically the only reason I think it could happen at all is that the director said he wants to do Part 8 and you can't exactly just skip over 7.

Jolyne is in the very first opening during the flashes of other parts.

DP has said they want to animate part 8 the most and I don't see them skipping parts.

>you'll never lick Jolyne's legs
Someone end me.

I want to be Jolyne's slave

>Jolyne is in the very first opening during the flashes of other parts.
that's true but I never felt that was a guarantee of them covering the whole universe, ultimately the could easilly play that off as "well yeah we were paying homage to the whole series and Jonathan's descendants but-"

>DP has said they want to animate part 8 the most and I don't see them skipping parts.
I agree skipping parts is probably out of the question, if they choose to not make a part they will just stop their adaption there. That being said, are you prepared for a cgi filled part 7?

I hope you REALLY like being tied up and bound.

>That being said, are you prepared for a cgi filled part 7?
DP has used much less CGI in the last couple of parts than people expected. And there was a comment by them about not wanting to use a lot of CGI in part 7 if they can help it.

David Pro still has Cells at Work S2 and Cells at Work Black in line though. We probably wont get Part 6 until they get those two out of the way.

but horses user, horses

The comment was specifically about the horses.

Well I hope they succeed then

>the difficulty of animating horses
Like HURRR THEY CAN'T ANIMATE STANDS THEY'LL BE CGI!

I definitely agree with the majority, Part 6 will eventually be animated as a conclusion the the original universe but Part 7 is a big gamble. I could see a Live action Part 7 happening but we all know it would flop most likely.

>Like HURRR THEY CAN'T ANIMATE STANDS THEY'LL BE CGI!
Stands are just some mixture of genie/robot/animal/man usually just floating in place and maybe punching and kicking just like a regular person. There was never any doubt they could animate them, anyone with a brain suggesting CG (like they've already done for horses), must have meant that as a stylistic choice to make them look more out of place/weird and magical.

It's not like robots aren't usually CGI in anime these days. People were also saying they'd use CGI for Notorious BIG and SCR but they didn't. And the vampires horses were from years ago and weren't normal horses. They also used to do distance shots of characters with CGI (one particular instance in part 3 for instance is ugly as shit) but haven't done that to my knowledge in recent parts. Though what I think is weird is that vehicles in part 4 weren't CGI but in the other parts they are.

>Live action Part 7
Would need to be a western production that's not blatantly filled with nips larping as cowboys and would need to be rewritten to focus more on the races and less on stand shit. Never going to happen but honestly such a thing COULD work, especially since part 7 stands are the least punchy so they could get away with just having characters use powers without animating a stand next to them.

Yeah I was thinking a western production but what madman director is such a weeb he'd make a movie off of it even though it could work. I think gather the corpse of Jesus would set some Christians off.

>Stands are easy to animate
>A horse is difficult

Kys.

Honestly I wouldn't even mind replacing Jesus with some random spirit sourced to the Native Americans or something to make Sandman more relevant. I love the Jesus shit in part 7 but ultimately it could be some other figure just fine.

Why are you posting a part 3 gif when i can just post the part 2 zombie horses?

Horses have to be in just every frame in the whole thing. Its a very big difference

having like 3-4 horses on screen will already be as much work as animating that, and steel ball run is chock full of said scenes

If Jolyne does it, yes

pretty sure there's spreads with alot more horses than that

being tied up by anyone else won't be anywhere near the same level as what Jolyne could seamlessly do thanks to Stone Free

Honestly, do you think PHF is going to be animated? Is it worth it as a series?

>is it going to be animated
nah
>is it worth it as a series
absolutely

I didn't read very far into it but honestly it looked like trash and, iirc, its just fanfiction that won a contest and got art from Araki.
