Kowloon Generic Romance

Today this manga officially jumped the shark.

It's been nothing but a string of poor characterizations and bad plot developments for nearly half of its run now. What a disappoint. It started with such potential.

Well, now I'm glad I bored out of this after the first chapter.

It gets pretty bad.

>expecting anything good out of """Generic Romance"""
you only have yourself to blame.

Except it would be better if it really were.

Kek, should've known it would turn it this way after Koi Ame

What are your suggestions about what is happening in universe? Simulated reality? Memory erasure? Clone?

>They're genuinely surprised there's an antagonist like this in a story that's bordering on a cyberpunk haves vs. havenots plot structure

How the hell did this author go from her previous work to THIS?
Honestly the fact that Hebinuma seems to be an honest-to-god reptile man plus the biblical allegory at the end of the chapter has completely trashed any previous ideas I had beforehand.
Now I'm just along for the ride.

There seems to be hints at clone with the earholes, the new friend's talk of her surgery, and the recent comments by the Snek about her wrinkles. But then there's the risk of it all being a red herring, kinda hard to call with how nobody in their lives seem to be commenting at all about her or her-B. Then there's also the matter of the dramatic change in personality while keeping the habits

But that's the thing. This plot SUCKS. Nobody wanted it. The story feels like a bait and switch. Even the title doesn't match up. People wanted a romance manga in Kowloon. Not whatever the author is pushing now.

I like it though.

You're in the minority.

No I'm not.

>People wanted a romance manga in Kowloon.
and they're still getting that. It hasn't suddenly become a battle shounen, it's just the introduction of a antagonist in their journey together
>taking pride in being part of the uncultured plebian masses

Can you please dial down the zealotness? I've seen you in these threads before. Frankly, I think you're the scanlator. They're always the first ones to get overly defensive about a manga's quality.

Really? I thought this was pretty hot.

I think she's definitely a clone or some type of homunculus. Hebinuma seems to know what she is or at least thinks he does. I think she's the result of a gene-terra experiment.

>I've seen you in these threads before
I doubt it, first thread I've been in for this manga as I just binged the first 15 chapters a couple days ago. but thanks for the chance to post more of the crops I made.

I can see why he was so attached to the glasses. I'd love to spend a lazy afternoon with her just smoking cigs, eating watermelon, and taking our minds off all the bullshit of life

Cigarette smokers are akin to open sewers

oh no, how ever shall I recover?

Is she a virgin?

would you turn her down if she wasn't?

>32-year-old woman
>borderline cyberpunk
>virgin

Not a substitute for actual discussion.

I'm tacitly interested in where we're going, but the guy going for a french kiss with his split tongue is setting a bad guideline for where this story is going.

Question: does this take place in the ACTUAL kowloon? I watched a documentary on it and it seems like the walled city was an insanely shitty place to live. Basically a place where you work all day in disgusting conditions and sleep in a house slightly bigger than a car. But I read the first chapter of this and it makes Kowloon out to be some comfy utopia. Like, there's no way that it's supposed to be the same city, right?

>torn down in Reality in 1994
>there's a floating habitat in the sky
I'd say no, but who the fuck knows at this point.

Who knows, but she probably already gave it to main male character if she isn't

Yes.

It's still better than KoiAme where literally nothing happens.
