I have no idea what Joshu became. He wasn't really a JoBro, he's not important enough (yet) to be classified as a main character, his goals are different than our protagonist's and antagonists', he's not an enemy and barely classifies as an ally, and he had his own arc. Whatever it is, Araki seems to know what he's doing.
Listing all of the stuff above, it reminds of Pocoloco, and makes me wonder what would happen if Araki gave Pocoloco more development than just these few scenes we had with him.
