This was so obviously a japanese production that it might as well be an 80s anime

how do you say "brown bricks" in japanese
Zig Forums janny doesn't like her very much
I don't believe you, post more of her in a way that it can convince people that the Japanese had more to do with the series than the West.
TMS was likely animating this at the very same time they were doing Cobra and Orguss.
Maybe in the same room.
Well it did have a beach episode

That looks clearly japanese though

That old guy seems like a fun person. He grew up when Hirohito bombed Pearl Harbor and yet he can still きらきら with the best of them. Based.
>You can shut up now.
look at how fucking flat she is
goddamn that's hot
never saw this shit on tv, in Latin America, "anime or cartoons on tv" usually meant: hey, we bought 10 episodes and we are just going to put them on repeat for years kids won't notice we don't have a finale. lol.
Me on the bottom right
I'm not sure which is worse: the fact that you think IG is Japanese, or that you're completely unaware of why France is important in anime's history.
God Penny is so hot.
Damn right
Looks like that old halloween special with the little girl who wins up in a monster house but hte monsters are nice, just with better graphics
Most 80s US cartoons were animated in Japan so yes.
GO-GO GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!!!!
Not really, i just wanted to see if people in here were ACTUALLY born in the early 80s to have watched this cartoon show. Let alone even knew who penny was.
go go gadget dick
Whoa.
So young and flat, but even that string bikini...
...whoa
I was born in 95 but watched Inspector Gadget on VHS.
I always knew that Inspector Gadget was made by Anno, it has that unmistakable style... deconstruction of the cyborg genre and so on
I think anyone born in the '80s has seen Inspector Gadget. I was born in the late '80s and it was on for like a decade. It doesn't seem like kids today watch old cartoons at all, though. I think the switch to HD killed reruns. When I was a kid, I would see cartoons on tv ranging from the '60s to modern day.
It was reruns when I saw it.
Actually, scratch that. They would play cartoons all the way from the '20s, now that I think about it.

HOO HOO
GO, GADGET, GO~
First world television stations operate differently from third world ones, Paco. We woul barely see anything from the 80's even in the 90's.
I mean, I was born in '87, but my older sister and I had access to
the entire
Laserdisc collection of Looney Tunes and also Tex Avery.
Yes. You heard me. All of it. Everything on Laserdisc. I've seen it all. MANY times.
I'm talking about the USA, you crack sniffing zoomer. You watched Adventure Time. I watched Feelix the Cat.
Not a bad way to grow up.
>We woul barely see anything from the 80's even in the 90's.
I was born in the 80s and you're a liar.
86 here and I kinda remember watching it. I remember TMNT a whole lot better.
Zig Forums is occasionally graced by staff members that have a tremendous aversion to loli.
Anyway, Penny is basically French and Canadian with dual citizenship in the US, but TMS was her surrogate parent. So she's dubiously anime related. Sort of in the same way Transformers and Ducktales are. And some episodes of Tiny Toons.
There's something seriously wrong with you people. Please get help.

>gruff voice
>NEXT TIME, GADGET!
>TMNT a whole lot better.
Cowabunga, can't go wrong there, dude.
The best adaptation of The Hobbit was a joint production between Topcraft and Rankin/Bass. Topcraft absolutely nailed the visual mood of Tolkien's book and Rackham's illustrations. Not to mention the legendary voice cast and soundtrack. One of my favorite animated productions, anime or otherwise.
Probably looked too much like Peter Sellers. Pink Panther was still popular enough to draw attention, but too similar to not infringe.
looks kinda like pic related
Now that's a Penny I can get behind.
