saturday morning bat thread. whats up peeps. how you holding up. gemini hookup is a nice move and coinbase should be coming soon. i hear self serve is right around the corner too. that chart is finally starting to look interesting as well. thoughts, comments, fud, concerns?
BAT general discussion
What's self serve? Idk any recent updates I'm just a hodler who used Brave now which I genuinely like better than Chrome.
self serve means that advertisers will be able to buy ads through a platform that is automatic, instead of the current system where the Brave team needs to manually deal with every request. it will also lower the $ amount needed to advertise through brave, so smaller guys will be able to use the system

comfy. Can't wait for Coinbase integration with Brave, even though I hate Coinbase. It'll really smooth things over for my experience.
not sure if BAT will ever be worth anything, its price action is pathetic. But I use Brave literally every day of my life, so the more they make the user experience simpler in terms of BAT's utility, the more and more I'll use/spend/buy BAT.
Really thinking about cashing out 150k of my stack to put into stonks when that juicy dip arrives.
Big utility around the corner, verified publishers, and users are through the roof. Price action is a bet meh but better than hovering around 19 cents for an eternity like it used to.
Hope you lads enjoy the weekend. Don't have much BAT news or discussion, but I'll fill some thot requests.
We gonna make it BATi bois
Brave & BAT suck
>By August 2016, the company had received at least US$7 million in angel investments from venture capital firms, including Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, Propel Venture Partners, Pantera Capital, Foundation Capital, and the Digital Currency Group.
Here’s an archived version of Brave’s Wikipedia article in case that information disappears somehow See the section #Business model

Peter Thiel is the chairman of Palantir Technologies. Wikipedia describes Palantir Technologies like this:
web.archive.org
>Palantir Technologies is a private American software company that specializes in big data analytics. Headquartered in Palo Alto, California, it was founded by Peter Thiel, Nathan Gettings, Joe Lonsdale, Stephen Cohen, and Alex Karp.
Further along the Wikipedia article, some interesting stuff starts coming up
>The company is known for three projects in particular: Palantir Gotham, Palantir Metropolis and Palantir Foundry. Palantir Gotham is used by counter-terrorism analysts at offices in the United States Intelligence Community (USIC) and United States Department of Defense, fraud investigators at the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, and cyber analysts at Information Warfare Monitor, while Palantir Metropolis is used by hedge funds, banks, and financial services firms.
Which is really concerning. This is also in line with how Brave whitelists Facebook and Twitter tracking scripts while advertising itself as a privacy conscious browser. Behavior of this is like a honeypot.

This is such a piece of shit of a coin to be holding, I'm pissed its in my top 5. Holding 50k of these, and it does NOTHING. Ever. Anyone looking to invest, drawn in by the big names and flashy headlines, don't... this is a stablecoin pegged to the quarter.
