I have told this story to a few anons before on here, but I bought bitcoin back in 2013 for roughly ~$35 and I sold 50% of my holdings at exactly 1k because that was my one rule for investing in something I knew nothing about. Bitcoin started dumping a few weeks later and I couldn't bring myself to selling after like a 70% drop so I just left it there and forgot about it. Fast forward to late 2017 and I heard about bitcoin all over the fucking place, so I logged into my account and sold everything at 16.8k, I swear my heart almost exploded when I logged in to see how much the investment had increased and I was thinking to myself that I was going to get scammed when withdrawing it.. kek'd. Bought my own apartment near water because it calms me for some reason (pic related) and invested the rest.

I can tell you my story user although I haven't made it yet. I was 17yo in 2017, made my first real monies illegally(not drug related, something else even more serious that the banks defo dont like), got caught, but thankfully for some reason they didn't take my $4k. 2017 November bought IOTA with $1.3k, by January 2018 I went to ATH $45k very briefly with all kinds of shitcoins, then everything crashed and I was between $5k -$15k during January and May. Discovered biz 2018 January, slowly got linkpilled, went all in LINK in about 2018 June/July. Got myself a 22k stack, at that time it was worth about $3k-$4k(now I have 20k LINKs due to helping out family) which is roughly $160k.

Started with $1200, now at $62,762.67

ETH --> BUIDL --> LINK, currently holding LINK and RSR long term, mid-short-term holds are DEXT to ~0.11, SWAP to ~0.50, DEC to ~0.50

I've gotten so fucking lucky this year, so unbelievably lucky. BUIDL is a rocket ship, went from $0.03 to $0.60, when I hopped off into LINK almost exactly at the right time for the run to $8.50. Golden horseshoe up the ass sort of luck. I kind of want to sell some LINK to get back into BUIDL because I think it could easily go to $3-10.

Those planned prices for the short/mid term are of course what I consider reasonable hopium, and I guess I'm due for a big humiliating loss, but right now I want to see if I can touch 6 figures by the end of the year

One user here started with $2k and worked his way up to $2M with a series of 10x flips between 2017 and 2018. It wasn't a larp, he sent a ten from one of his wallets to prove it. I forget what shitcoins he started but after working his way up to six figures he put a fuckton of money into the Holo ICO and dumped at the right time. I don't think he posts here anymore last I talked to him he said he was super bearish on crypto as a whole and said that BTC is going to zero. That was a year ago and it still hasn't happened yet.

Started with 8k in 11/2013 as of right now it is 2.585.796 Megabucks.

Approximate history of big bets that weren't total failures (excluding side bets and big short term bets)
LTC -> BTC -> Doge -> BTC - ETH -> MAID, XMR, GNT, STRAT -> BTC, XMR

My biggest winners were Stratis and XMR of which I would still recommend the latter.
Also, I missed many boats like XRP, Neo, EOS, the fantastic rise of ETH and LINK and many of this generations lending and defi coins.

The precious metal people here also know me because of my giant silver stack.

From May to June I turned $600 into $140,000 USD gambling on uniswap shitcoins.

Bought a bitcoin as a poor boy for $200 and gambled on all the shitcoins in 2017 as a gullible idiot. Thankfully antshares helped offset all the losses for me buy my shitty link stack. I've never been a gambler. I should have dumped 10k into bitcoin, but honestly who knew at that point?

With "missed" I mean I didn't benefit off them. Of course, I checked CMC, tradingview etc. and saw certain coins pumping trough the ranks but you never know whether they are one-hit wonders or not.

While there is plenty of money to be had with Altcoins since they are behaving like atypical start-ups (atypical because they are traded and liquid) I mostly focus on coins with monetary characteristics. Possibly I will put a few BTC into smaller projects but I have not really decided. I have very high hopes for XMR.

People need to understand that the monetary game is different from coin-game where the project trades more like a stock with a certain business model attached.

Held ETH from $3 to $7.
Didn't buy into ICO because coin economics looked bad. (ETH then just changed their inflation schedule afterward kek also the project looked sketchy because Vitalik was involved and promoted some quantum computing BTC mining scam before)
