I'm 15 episodes into this. How the fuck does a 2 episode Go Tournament manage to create so much stress? I would've been fine if Hikaru and Sai, were like Yugi/Atem or the Zexal protagonist so I wouldn't feel so bad if Hikaru lost.
Does the Go Club/School life of Hikaru's take up a major portion of the series?
>Does the Go Club/School life of Hikaru's take up a major portion of the series? Only until Hikaru decides to become an incel, which he does after hearing that Akira decided to become an incel. This happens right after Hikaru loses in the high school tournament.
Nathaniel Myers
Akira's rival autism is pretty fun though.
Elijah Morgan
>Only until Hikaru decides to become an incel, which he does after hearing that Akira decided to become an incel.
Those two fucked in the end tho, the series was gay as fuck
Charles Jones
nigga became pro and was never able to participate in school go club again, that's it. ghost nigga left after awhile
Isaac King
Have you never been in a tournament before? It certainly isn't the same level of stress as Yugi and Yuma go through but it is very stressful doing tournaments for games and stuff. Especially GO tournaments, also Hikaru and gang are children give them a break. Anyways I hope you enjoy HnG it is literally a 10/10 anime and you should read the manga.
wasn't excepting that but all the signs was there, 10/10 good plot twist would watch again
Andrew Reed
Yeah I've been in a tournament before. But the stress I felt mostly came from the fact that Akira wanted to play Sai, but Hikaru really wanted to play as well, and I didn't want him to embarrass himself like he did. Also I was worried that Mitani was about to cheat again.
Dominic Russell
Such a shame it got axed because of gooks being insecure.
Brandon Bennett
Oh I see, I understand what you're saying now, but that is just called good writing my sir. If the author is making you feel this way he is doing a good job portraying his characters and their emotions.
Also I am assuming you never watched Zexal since you don't know Yuma's name and you should watch that also, just saying since it is also a good anime. Season 2 is phenomenal
that was so dumb I literally hate koreans because of that
Dominic King
>Also I am assuming you never watched Zexal since you don't know Yuma's name and you should watch that also, just saying since it is also a good anime. Don't worry I watched Zexal, I just want to block everything related to it, but that last arc.
Nolan Lopez
>I just want to block everything related to it BRO WHY
Cause it simply wasn't interesting, fun or good for the most part. The way the duels were also played during that whole series wasn't to my liking as well. Kaito and Shark were cool though.
Alexander Wilson
Well that's fair then, glad you like Kaito and Shark at least since they were a really good part of the show
Jace Perez
>I would've been fine if Hikaru and Sai, were like Yugi/Atem Hell no the series has a charm that Yugioh lacks exactly because of this "distance" between the person and the spirit
Eli Rivera
I meant that as a compliment, like I said if Hikaru and Sai were like that I wouldn't feel anything.
Lucas Martin
Sorry, I was wrong >bla bla english is not my first language bla so, we are all happy and continue with the series, it's spectacular
Austin Reed
>and continue with the series, it's spectacular Yeah it's great so far. Thanks and have a nice day.
Bentley Rogers
Are you the same OP as the last Hikaru no Go thread? The one asking whether you could enjoy this regardless of your interest in go. I'm just a bit curious, is all.
Jaxon Diaz
I want to use this opportunity to thank the guy that had an FTP with subs of the whole series back in 2003.
First series I watched subbed.
Asher Bailey
Great show.
Andrew Stewart
Yeah that's me
Hudson Sanders
Glad you're having fun
Jordan Morales
>you could enjoy this regardless of your interest in go Hikaru no Go is the prime example that a serie can be really good independent of the theme
I recently rewatched this show it's very good user I approve of you liking it. Ending so rushed tho
>Does the Go Club/School life of Hikaru's take up a major portion of the series? No
Nolan Roberts
The school portion ends quickly. I said this before in a previous thread. When he gets into insei (the proper Go school for professionals) is where the show drags hard. It doesn't focus on hikaru but the side characters a bit more until it goes back to focusing on akira through the side characters. After insei, the show picked up for me.
Colton Brooks
"Incels" and pro test were the peak of Hikaru no Go. Seeing those "incels" getting btfo one by one after they brought Hikaru to the Go Cafe was fun as hell.
