Listen I just don’t think “wholesome” is the word to describe it, that’s pretty messed up. I’m up to date with the story and being on civil terms after a time-skip is not enough to back it up. They’re good rivals. Good competition. Say what you want but it’s not “wholesome”.

I don’t know I think it depends on how you view it. I find the way they work off of each other’s flaws “wholesome” and not even solely in a romantic sense. To be fair I haven’t kept up with the story since the first national’s match if I recall correctly so I’m basing this off of memory.

Remember when there was doom and gloom when furudate decides to a time skip? One user got super butt hurt that he kept making haikyuu threads just to shit on the final arc. Turns out, the final arc has been the most refreshing fucking thing in haikyuu. The current match is up there with karasuno vs seijou part 2

Faggots who hate time skips will remain faggots who hate time skips for eternity. No matter what. I will admit even I was thrown off by how sudden it was but the execution of the story since has been fantastic. I like that we’re getting a drip feed of how everyone’s doing now instead of a huge dump in an epilogue. I also love how full circle this final match feels, like everything is being paid off and lots of references to earlier speeches, moments and chapter titles.
