Vic

Vic played both of these Brolys. I meant with of the character or story did you enjoy more

New Broly is better in everything except the looks.

Old one was more iconic. Had much cooler fight scenes.

Old broly is what the characters meant to be and does it well: badass wall of muscle beating the shit out of weaker sayain monkeys. dbs broly is
>muh fee fees oh no i was stuck on this planet im so sad b-broly kun shenron pls save broccoli

Neo broly is fucking shit

MY SKIN IS COLD

>wall of muscle vs a character
>choosing the wall of muscles
You are a fucking retard

Old one, easily. He's everything Saiyans were meant to be: brutal, vain, pitiless, and bloodthirsty taken to a nightmarish extreme due to insanity wrought by his own power and a result of decades of brainwashing of his own father. There's also some subtle tragedy to his character that people forget due to the way the games and every movie after the 2nd handled his character. In the 1st movie kakarot was a trigger for his trauma being the last thing he saw and heard before being stabbed as an infant and left to die in the garbage and nearly destroyed in their planets destruction had it not been for him tapping into power he couldn't handle to save his father who would go on to use him as a personal weapon and who he would ultimately kil when the latter tries to leave him for dead. Fuck in the jp dub, he even implies a longing to return to his old planet and pays respect to the z fighters for fighting him despite the hopelessness and pain. Complimenting them as being every bit worthy of the saiyan blood in their veins.

NuBroly on the other hand has no goals, no agency, no arc, no personality - nothing. We get one exchange of dialogue that tells us nothing beyond broly is a good boy and his daddy is just super mean and then he spends the next 40+ minutes screaming and roaring. Fuck this interpretation of broly and fuck people who like him.

>left
virgin yell over a crying baby
>right
chad scream over being forced into a life of violence

>Jobrentards pasta
of course

>Old one was more iconic
Debatable. The new one is far more popular, for starters.
>Had much cooler fight scenes.
Now this is objectively false and asinine. The fights in the first Broly movie are ass and they only get worse in the sequels, whereas DBS Broly has some of the best fight scenes in the entire franchise.

>waaaah Kakakrot cried as a baby and it kept me up waaaah

Old Broly is a better character but the fight scenes in all of his original movies are a fucking snorefest. Watching everyone get roflstomped only for Goku to end it in one punch sucks my dick.

Because in Broly's case it's much better for the character to be that wall of muscle than to be an emo bitchboy. Broly's design, personality and powers fit way better with the violent wall of muscle type than what they're going for with the pussified DBS. I hate DBS so fucking much it pussified everyone except Goku.

>emo bitchboy
And you expect your opinion to be valued why now?

The the Legendary Super Saiyan lore.
It's barelly talked about in the new movie

Old has a better design and I like his laugh.
As for DBS broly, I can't even remember 1 single quote from him other than "UUUAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" but besides that his fights were cool.

It was refreshing for everyone to get their shit kicked in so hard. It made the stakes more exciting.

>It was refreshing for everyone to get their shit kicked in so hard.
but that happens in nearly every dbz movie

Old Broly got flanderized pretty badly later on, but was in full control of himself and kinda intelligent (those feints and trick shots he does where he redirects his blasts, as well as noticing Paragus trying to sneak away in the middle of the fight) albeit sadistic and violent, whereas New Broly is inherently good, but has no control of himself or his power, which kinda makes him dull as all he does is scream and rampage around.

Fucking this. It's like the someone quickly slapped together a Tarzan/Hulk hybrid and forgot to give him anything from those two that made them halfway entertaining or compelling.

There is no lore. No dark legacy. No, now he's just stronger than two god level opponents because reasons.

What is DBS Broly's personality anyways? Felt like he was just an attack dog the entire movie.

I mean, that’s pretty much why Frieza wanted him in the first place. You see snippets of a naturally kind and gentle man, but having been forced into a life of fighting for survival against his will pretty much means you don’t see much to him beyond a raging berserker even more so then OG Broly who was more in control of himself as already said and was actively sadistic and malicious.
At least DBS Broly doesn’t turn into a screaming lunatic but I hate the reason for his strength is that he’s some kind of mutant. The pseudo Oozaru transformation is cool and all but the fact that he can push Goku and Vegeta into Blue with it is just dumb.

What character does DBS Broly even have? He spends half of his screen time yelling. OG Broly on the other hand is much more defined, and the relationship with Paragus gets presented in a much more organic manner compared to Cheelai's "what a meanie!" exposition dump.

He is just a dumb caveman. Old Broly had the crazy malicious streak in him that made him enjoy going all out which made him scary.

Does any one have that Gif of nu broly taking of those blue ki blast from gogeta

Here I guess

Old broly's transformation was more memorable. As far as character both are pretty even since it ain't much. Old broly was a saiyan on steroids while nuBroly is just Hulk/Tarzan. I prefer older Broly though. NuBroly is fine for the most part.
