10/10. A masterpiece.

7/10. Has some great moments but also drags on for way too long.

8/10. I miss it. Just an overall comfy story, and I enjoyed the different locations.

Overrated shit.

I think I got through four or five volumes before giving up, the standalone stories felt pretty mediocre and the overarching plot was going nowhere fast.

100/100, A+.

Maybe the real monster was the friends we made along the way.

Enjoyable tho I felt like Johan's motive especially after sis confronts him feels flimsy at best. Maybe I didn't really get his motive. What's everyone's favorite urasawa? 20th century still holds up for me, but I really really enjoyed billy bat.

Could have been 26-37 episodes and the end wasn't satisfying. I also loved the dark atmosphere and the MC.

Tenma and his inability to make decisive actions is the real Monster of the show.

Probably Pluto, overall. I'd say 20CB, but it doesn't have a great ending either, which I guess is Urasawa's weakpoint. Hell of a ride up until the 21st Century Boy chapters

Shit forgot about Pluto! Been a while since read but thought one of his better endings - def need to do a reread. Personally don't mind 20/21CB ending (the fake of a fake part found interesting conceptually) - my biggest gripe is Kanna and mom's power plus story wasn't explored as much as I'd liked - like why did they marry? What was friend trying to achieve via trying to get kana powers (and how the fuck did he know how)?

Find some more convincing buzzwords kid.

I'd say Pluto, but honestly it's more of a "fucked up the least badly" for me. I still didn't like pretty much the entire last third and came away disappointed, but I actually finished because it wasn't as bizarrely stretched out and meandering as Monster or 20CB.

Underrated. Monster is all about the journey and the places and characters we visit on the way. And it feels like the places have been meticulously researched, although that aspect is lost to Amerifats.
