Is the sequel manga even going on still? I haven't checked it in years. Kinda feel like Watanuki in his endless wait for something that'll never come back.

I think they ended it once. Then did nothing at all until they decided to make a sequel because they have 0 new ideas and all they can do is continue older series. Not sure what happened then. Probably They also did some short sequel to TRC nobody was asking for.

Clamp was actually one of those mangaka/groups that brought me into manga. I still remember how fascinated I was about the variety of their series.
Just remember Wish, Clover, Rayearth, Chobits, RG Veda, X and so on. They were all different as fuck and their own worls while most other authors just copypaste their bestseller for the rest of their lives.
It all went to shit once they started with TRC I think and got really bad around the middle of that series and the good times never came back.

Never watched the anime but the manga was great apart from the very end. Its a shame its intrinsically tied to Tsubasa since thats so so bad.

Certainly. I didn't enjoy the anime as much as the manga, though I must admit the soundtrack and voice acting are god-tier. The manga has its share of flaws too (mostly because of the crossing over crap) but remains one of my all time favorites, there are a lot of unique pages and great episodic stories. The noodle people look more natural in the manga's style, it would've been better to switch to normal proportions for animation (e.g. Watanuki looks way better in the Blood C movie).

When will writers finally realize that people hate crossovers? I already hated them when I was 5 or so there are a lot of comics I would never touch simply because of all the crossover shit and TRC never worked for me to begin with. Crossing series over always seems like such a lazy way to get a bigger mass appeal or fill the series with screentime for older series that were more popular than the current one if the writer lacks creativity to come up with fresh ideas.

I miss Yuko. I stopped following after she disappeared and when there was that hiatus.

Fuck yes, the OP and ED in general were amazing. Suga Shikao's songs fit the mood perfectly and he's a fan too, he even released a song as a collab. (Full version is gone from youtube, but just google Anata hitori dake shiawase ni naru koto wa yurusan nai no yo)

My favorite Suga Shikao song is still August Serenade, which was used in Honey & Clover. And the video had karuta in it before I even knew what it really was from Chihayafuru.

The anime is meh, as is normal. It's not a bad adptation I guess, but the designs really didn't translate well

That's CLAMP's plan, just having their character's suffer wasn't enough. They draw holic a lot on their social media accounts but 0 announcements for anything besides CCS.
