I did.
Hate that freaking outfits.
Worst design ever.
I found it pretty enjoyable. Though it is very different from the manga. It goes for more jokes while the manga has more plot.
how did you find it user?

STupid outfits are the point. Its a comedy.
I pretty much only really know about it because of this one flash on Newgrounds. It was an AMV set to Stripped, and it was actually pretty good from what I remember
It was pretty fun. But I liked it's spin off (Puni Puni Poemy) a lot more.
Back when video rental was still a thing, Excel Saga was one of the few anime series my local store had. It caught my eye on the shelf, and I had to watch it.
did you like it user?
I liked it so much I went out and bought all the DVDs. It was one of the first long series I watched
It was good but I expected a lot more since I remember so many people recommending it back when I watched it in mid 2000.
If I had to rewatch a slapstick anime I'd much rather pick Hare Guu
Still got the DVD set somewhere.
I chose Fukuoka as a destination because of it, and it might be my imagination, but I think I ended up sitting next to Koshi Riduko on the subway once...
how would you rate it?
watched the first two episodes like 10 years ago and dropped it
But is not funny. Just ugly.
Much better in the manga.
>there are people on Zig Forums who have not watched Excel Saga
>there are people on Zig Forums
I enjoyed the anime so much, I'm even buying the manga volumes.
As an user said before, manga is kinda different from the anime, but keeps the spirit and most of the characters. (Not Pedro nor Watanabe, which I miss)
Excel Saga used to be pretty popular
but pedros the best character
Manga have a some kind of continuity that can almost be considered a plot.
The anime is just pure shitpost. Is basically the original pop team epic.
I'll rewatch it one day, it's in my backlog.
Is the manga better?
To be honesti is the funniest anime i ever watched.
8.5/10
A bit too heavy on the reference humor, but still great. Though, I did like that the US release has pop-up notes that explain the more obscure references
Different.
A little less chaotic. As already said it have a some kind of plot, and goes beyond what's covered by the manga.
I did.
Love that freaking outfits.
Best desing ever.
I'm watching Hare Guu right now and find it too unfocused and lolrandumb. At least Excel Saga has some semblance of coherence within an episode. And the girls are actually cute.
Excel Saga is my favorite manga
If you go into it expecting the same experience as the anime, you may find yourself pleasantly surprised
It was the second anime I ever watched when I was first getting into anime in 2008 ,first was code geass. I liked it, but it was more gags than anything. Vividly remember liking the mexican guy literally getting fucked by the universe.
I liked those intros with Rikudou Koushi and Nabeshin. Don't remember much about it, only that it got weirdly serious in the final chapters, and then some shit about a love hotel.
So, did anyone watch this shit?
youtu.be
Only thing I remember was the purple haired girl coughed up blood all the time
It's a shame that more people didn't get to meet Elgala, the third Across Girl, since she was introduced into the manga after the Anime
really enjoyed it
OP and ED made me watch it in the 1st place
I like her more confrontational attitude when dealing with Excel, as opposed to how submissive Hyatt usually was
I have it on DVD.
Watched it then.
Haven't rewatched it in 20 years.
