Ampleforth price isn't sustainable

Let's say the price right now is $2.50.
At a market cap of $216M.
To reach a market cap of $1B at the same price per AMPL, at a rebase of 15% would require 11 days of the same rebase.
Tether's market cap around $9B would require 27 rebases.

If the price of AMPL stays at least $2.50 it can only do so at max 11 days ($1B MCAP) or 27 days ($9B MCAP).

nigga just buy it and swing trade it.
no-swingies get the rope
math ass nigga

Well, if we look at it from another point of view, at 500M mcap it would take 72 days at 1% rebase (1.10) to reach 1B. Stop thinking of 3 days gains, and look a couple months in the future.

How do you swing it properly? I'm new to this so help me learn the ways of a swinger.

they give you a guideline for "fast traders" in the red book that's been working pretty well for me

Wait wait wait. You actually think that can't happen?

You must be a newfag. You weren't around for 500x runs like NEO or 100x runs like NANO were you... Unimaginable things are possible.

i think your gonna have a hard time bcuz of bots

but from my understanding is that ... right after the rebase (after the supply has been changed) there is a SMALL window (like 10mins) where the price has not followed the supply change. so before rebase AMPL $2 with 10mill supply. In this window after supply adjustments - AMPL =$2 but supply is 15 Million.
So you have a small window to sell and buy back lower. but your competing with whales and its damn near impossible - atleast on uniswap.

As I said, the $2.50 isn't sustainable, it drops to $1.10 in your scenario.
I have like 3000 AMPL btw, not tying to FUD.

>there is a SMALL window (like 10mins)
It was near instant last night

safe bet for a noob is to swing it right before the rebase tonight.
I almost decided to swing yesterday after the dip only because originally I was gonna swing but I missed the rebase and didn't sell soon after. I held instead and will be swinging this time.

This. Read it and decide tonight if you're in profit. Remember to always buy the dip.

yeah i think the window will change each day and as people catch on. so strategy will have to keep adjusting - its like a fucking game within in a base-money-market

Ive tried a few times. People have written custom scripts and tools for this. Don't try at home.

Yeah it makes sense. Actually comfy weekend crab around 2.50 is fine, if we had another 3.50 pump like it happened I'd probably get out and wait a couple days

i have tried too and i just ended up wasting money on gas

uniswap automatically adjusts because the ratio changes
not sure what happens on the exchanges.
do exchanges actually give you your bonus ampls or do they keep them? i would assume they get them because its their wallet that the ampls are sitting in.

KuCoin and Bitfinex distribute them to the holders. When you put it on Bilaxy the chinks will steal it from you

is there a way i can make my pitiful amount of uni-v2 show up
i dont have enough decimal places

this thing will have crashed by tomorrow, same as previous week. that will buy some more time for more sane rebases than those 15+%

This would only be the case if no one sold at all. The market cap is going to keep increasing but not at the rate you're thinking of, and yet it can still do it with a daily rebase between 10 and 15 percent, for at least months and months.

This thing has been mooning non-stop for the past few weeks, absolutely insane

only exchanges that have done a "proper" integration with AMPL - some exchanges just list AMPL and fuck up the rebase part

this thing is going to crash so violently it'll tear people's assholes apart

i was thinking this but its weird how stable it already is

cope

You guys do realize this isn't going to magically go to $1 the second it has a billion dollar market cap, right? It has elastic supply and isn't designed to be a stablecoin. If the market sees enough value in it and it continues to increase in volume there's no reason why these large rebases can't continue for a while. The devs literally said they don't think it will "stabilize" to $1 for years. YEARS. This can have a massive market cap and still pump out large rebases. Stop thinking of this as a billion mcap coin but something much larger.

This. The daily rebase will continue for years guys, AMPL is obviously heading to a trillion+ cap, it's completely novel, don't be so short sighted and get in.

>The devs literally said they don't think it will "stabilize" to $1 for years.
because they expect it to violently swing in both directions dipshit

Hello frens we look pretty overbought on all indicators, where is the top? Need to swing this one, don't want to miss out like when it hit $4 some days ago

You really don't get it. I swear this is one of the best opportunities to come around in crypto and most of biz is too retarded to understand it.

it contracts when sub1 and people will likely start panic selling when the rebase goes negative
look at the history
it has done this a number of times already
what dont you think i get

so im assuming i cant just wire in an ethernet cable and do a market sell seconds after rebase?

It's not sustainable, BUT there will be months and months and months of positive rebases. Only 7300 wallets and growing quickly.

since you're obviously new to this, please observe the last two market cycles. you're right in that there will be a correction if the current price growth continues. this is to be expected. it happened last time at around $4 and 120mil mc. If we see the same kind of fomo I would expect it to do a dump down into the mid 1 dollar range before the cycle starts up again, though this time the market cap will be higher than the last cycle. rinse and repeat.

yeah but it only stays sub-$1 for maybe a couple of days before being pushed up again

there are some mega whales that have been in for months that are now reaching the point where they may want to dump it hard

It's going to start dumping at between $3 - $3.25. I have no idea though, depends on FOMO.

just sold at this local peak, where is the bottom?
