I can remember reading this at the start when Kazuya's ex was still around at the plot and Tiduru said something like “You dummy...” for Kazuya not realizing the former's feelings and I already rolled my eyes at Tiduru's purposeful mixed signals and then being mad at that.

But he clearly realized his own feelings and then it just became ship-tease after ship-tease and now it's just retconned into that he supposedly only now figured it out?

It had an interesting start when Tiduru was still trying to help him get back with his ex, but my god, did it become trash ship-tease.

Dude, you're the one speed reading, or maybe because you kept reading and I didn't, it's not as fresh in your memory because I stopped at chapter 40 or something.

This was chapter 12, back when it was still interesting and a rivalry between the ex and Tiduru. It was so obviously written with the heavy implication that Tiduru was in love with Kazuya, aware of this, but was trying to help him get together with his ex, but then it got popular or something and the auctor felt pressure to abandon the plot and milk it for longer and longer.

If this thing was 35-ish chapters in total and just ended on a solid conclusion, it could have been a pretty decent story.

But the initial chapters now just look like early-intallment weirdness with how clearly Tiduru is aware of his own feelings in it, how the ex is constantly around, and how Kazuya looks far less like a total baboon but actually looks pretty cool at times, creatively saving the day.
