You literally need to turn your brain off and let yourself be entertained by code geass, user.
It's not a series for psuedo intellectuals or people who think they're critics.
It's good but only if you let it be what it is.

No. The only thing it can offer is fanservice. Maybe some interesting giant robot designs but don't quote me on that, I hate both both robotshit and "action" scenes in anime.

I found this anime extremely good back when I was 14 or so. It's not.

The TV show can be watched in a movie version. Highly recommend the first 3 movies. There's a 4th one but don't watch it. Pretend it doesn't exist.

for this anime there isn't really anything he'd miss out on if he watched the movies instead. They still have fanservice and they still have giant robots flying around.

The movies cut a lot of worthless filler shit and gets right to the point. I'd rather rewatch the 3 movies again than rewatch the 50 episode series.

It picks up a bit more and has a solid ending but if you really don't like it don't bother continuing

The movies cut out actual development between C.C. and Lelouch, and cut out Mao's arc (imho best arc or first season). Yes, a lot of less interesting things are cut out too, which is good, but the mentioned ones bing omitted made me being less engaged in watching than in case with the original show.

I thought about it, and perhaps the movies are better if you are watching Code Geass for Lelouch only (in contrast to, for example, me watching it for Lelouch and C.C., in which case series is better).
