anime/manga that are uplifting and give you hope for the future of humanity, what are your favourites?
Anti-Devilman
Space Brothers.
Hidamari Sketch
Gundam Unicorn. Ignore everything that comes after it in the timeline though
S1 of gatchaman crowds.
S2 put a damper on things.
Basically the only reason i liked Dr Stone. 'Humanity Fuck Yeah' is an underappreciated genre.
Summer Wars is unwatchable garbage, easily worst Hosoda.
It's so fundamentally optimistic that I can't help but like it.
Bonnouji
>unwatchable garbage
You have to be 18+ to post here.
TTGL of course
Well, that would be Gunbuster. It's meandering in it's messages, but the ending really drives the point home that humanity will not only prevail, but that it is actually worth saving.
What could be better proof of that than humanity remembering some war heroes who saved their great-great-great... grandparents 12000 years ago, and shutting down the entire fucking planet, just to give them a warm welcome message.
Diebuster is admittedly more consistent in it's pro-humanity themes, but it never manages to communicate them as effectively as Gunbuster does in it's last few scenes.
i dont even know what kind of mental gymnastik you have to praktice to be even remotely optimistic of the future in this time and age.
Omorai-kun
You just need to stare into the abyss a little longer.
>marida's senseless death at the hands of riddhe mcbutthurt
Akagi
This movie didn't give me much hope, considering how everything was solved by the power of nepotism
oh the irony
bump
Looks nice. Thanks
Wicked City.
Gives me hope that someday we will have peace between this world and the Makai world.
And that someday I can have a cute demon waifu.
>start pic related because I heard it was absolutely hilarious and is something I need right now
>it was melancholy as hell
Wtf bros why did you lie to me
Interesting, why would you say that? Akagi sure has stuff to say about human character and perspective on life, but it's definitely not unequivocally positive.
Currently watching that, around ep40.
I don't like the MC that much, but its OK I guess.
Mutta is great.
Not bad, but seems like he has only barely passed thanks to luck or just being a MC.
Also, theres lots of fill with that pug, everytime Mutta sees this girl he goes full imagination for a minute, lots of skippable dialogue, and lots of recycled / reused scenes in some episodes, and it seems like it only has one BGM, with different arranges.
Still want to finish it though, its not a bad series.
Texhnolyze.
Pretty goddamn ironic considering what actually happens in the show but you all know what I mean.
Gridman ASSSS
Words cannot epxress how much i love this anime
Barakamon and Ping pong. They don't give me hope for humanity, but they are extremely uplifting.
