>watch one episode
>2/3 of the episode is heavy breathing
What did they mean by this?
Texhnolyze

That's some A tier ASMR sound design OP
For you to decide if this show is for you.
If you do decide to watch and finish the show, rewatching the early episodes are great fun when you notice all the shit that was introduced and foreshadowed.
It's a slow burn, OP, it's worth it though
So this must be cyberpunk Mushishi then.
They're nothing alike beyond the slow pacing, and Texh speeds the fuck up once based yoshii does his thing which is like 6-7 episodes in.
Its great how the lack of dialogue for mos tof the first episode helps set the tone for the series and make a point of how the city of Lux is just as important a character than any of character in the show. They also find cool ways to convey a lot of information without dialogue as well such as giving us a clear picture of Ichise as a character
I literally CANNOT believe that they didn't air Heavenward or Hades during the show's runtime, only including them in the DVD releases. Then again its super likely noone watched it while it was airing anyway, but can you imagine how jarring the jump from them getting on the train to Ichise on the stairs would've been if you were?
No it's not episodic like mushishi.
No, it's edgy K-On.
I dunno, I didn't get that vibe from Mushishi. Jump into episode 1, 10 or 30 and it's the same sorta feel. Texhnolyze is just a slow plot where every episode prioritises the overarching narrative rather than the short-term payoff.
Those are the surface world episodes right? I wonder if they just suddenly got told their timeslot was getting taken up soon so had to jump straight to the ending. Shame considering those are some of the best episodes of the show
>you're getting filtered by the heavy breathing
No, I'm hating this gay show after 3 episodes, you pretentious niggers.
Yeah it's why the final episode starts on a recap of the surface events mixed with the shit you see in the movie theater on the surface while a noise rock guitar solo is playing. The fact that that scene exists makes me think they knew all along that they'd only get 20 episodes, perhaps they never really expected that much viewership and banked on the DVD sales like how they did it with OVAs pre-2000.
Texh has a four episode filter period.
We'll see.
No one mentioned filtering or heavy breathing except you OP
...
You must be a pre-cog then because that was after your post
>he can't predict every post in a texh thread
Filtered.
I actually am precog, but that isn't the point of this thread.
Please tell me when Despera is coming out
Explain why you think it's pretentious user, always fun to see the dumb reasons people who say that about one of the most straightforward shows ever made make. I hope it isn't the usual cognitive dissonance people make to justify their getting filtered instead of just having the introspection to know that maybe this show doesn't appeal to you in the first place.
>Explain why you think it's pretentious user,
Because you like it for heavy breathing and bullshit. I've watched three fucking episodes of this trash, and that's all it is—heavy breathing.
You didn't tell me you were a mind reader as well. How did you know I only watch shows with heavy breathing
I never said you exclusively watched that, you intellectually dishonest fucking kike.
Dude watch it on a nice sound system. That's some fine ass breathing. The best in anime by far.
Yeah I was right on the money about you lacking the introspection to realize this show just isn't for you, someone afflicted with less unwarranted self importance would just drop the show if you they weren't liking it; but of course everyone who loves this show is just pretending! How could anyone like what I don't like?
Of course the show isn't for me, retard. Who is this show actually for?
>everyone who loves this show is just pretending!
That’s not his point you retard. All of the fags in this thread are referring to the heavy breathing as ‘build-up’, ‘an overarching narrative’ or ‘slow-burn’. That’s the definition of pretentious.
Woah hang on nobody told me this was a heavy breathing anime
At last, my fetish is being pandered
Me and alot of other anons on Zig Forums, it's one of the few places on the net where people actually like and discuss this show.
The heavy breathing isn't the build up, everything that is going on in the beginning episodes are the build up; you'd realize that if you actually just paid attention to the screen. Also that /literally/ isn't the definition of pretentious, you can look up a dictionary yourself.
Also don't pretend to be two people, not a good look.
>it's one of the few places on the net where people actually like and discuss this show.
You can't even explain what this show means beyond your "haha don't you get it?" rhetoric. You're a faggot.
voca.ro
I've never seen this show but I'm downloading it right now. I liked Lain and Digimon Tamers. Narutaru was kinda neat too, sometimes..
Do you really expect to know what the show is about after having seen three episodes and getting filtered by your hyperfocusing on one trivial aspect of the presentation? Why do you think the people posting here are using spoilers and posting vaguely? Your OP post suggested you were in the process of watching it.
Everything after this guy was pure trash. This anime marked the genuine last time I listened to Zig Forums
People get turned away by episode 1?
I will watch the rest of it, but there's a reason that the three episode rule exists.
...
Kano was more interesting anyway, plus you don't really have the context for Yoshii's deal without the final episodes.
Yeah it's strange but people have different sensibilities. I was hooked from the beginning personally, even the other "ABe trilogy" shows don't feel similar at all to Texh's atmosphere.
I actually think Konaka, Ueda, ABe, and Hamasaki took that into account, the whole "filter" thing is an in joke around here but it legitimately works with how people who wouldn't like this sort of show anyway can easily tell it isn't for them. It saddens me when you accuse us of pretending to like this show cause I really do legitimately love this show.
