Dungeon Meshi will never get animated

It probably will, it'll just never be finished

It's for the best, I don't think I could stomach a 3D CGI red dragon or harpy Farlyn.

Ah, what a blessing. What a beautiful thing.

I want to kiss that elf.

It's for the best. Now that Kyoani is dead, there is no anime studio that can keep up a good animation quality through a whole season. And even if Kyoani was alive, they would just butcher the adaptation and add their own yuri bait garbage.

I want to kiss that oni

Wait... i could've sworn i saw it on the list for an up coming season...

We have this.

Oh no. The horror. Whatever will we do without awful CG monster graphics, glossed-over worldbuilding, rushed pacing, gratuitous boob jiggle animations, and shoehorned original romance subplots?

>TRIGGER isn't already in negotiations

where the actual fuck do you get your info user?

I have absolutely 0 faith that this will ever be adapted properly. At best a 12 episode season with shitty animation and skipped content.

False hope.

You say it like it's a bad thing

>boob giggle
From who though?

>wanting a anime of Dungeon Meshi

Heh, it could be done. It's not like the manga has OPM-tier fight scenes or extremely detailed monster designs. lf the monsters aren't CGI you're pretty much halfway there in term of quality. I could see a 12-episode season lasting either until they defeat the dragon or until the sorcerer shows up.

Retards on Zig Forums cry about anime supposedly lowering the quality of the threads but the threads suffer much more from their whining than anything else. It's just an excuse for them to point fingers at posts not meeting up with "their" standard and claiming they're ruining the threads. In truth a bad anime gets ignored by everyone and a decent anime is well worth the "secondary" (I fucking hate that name) posters. You're supposed to come to Zig Forums to discuss anime and manga. You're not supposed to think the threads are worth more than the content you're supposed to discuss.

does anyone else get pissed that the halfling the the knights hair colour keep changing, sometimes the midget is ginger, then he's brown hair, sometimes knight has grey hair, sometimes he has blond

>Kyoani is dead
what are you on about?

On topic, madhouse, bones, A1-pictures still exist.

Good, I think it could be animated, but no studio would be willing to put in the time/effort to do the job properly and consistently.

I think its more that people would be worried that many of the smaller details and extra touches would be lost in an anime adaption, and those smaller details are part of what makes Meshi so good, the whole series isn't that action/detail heavy like say Berserk is, but its still done in a style that would pretty much necessitate simplification.

There's also just the problem of consistency in regards to quality/animation, hell the TRIGGER trailer even had some weird looking quality moments and it was only like a minute long.

Getting to the dragon in 12 episodes would be incredibly stupid. They would have to cover 4 volumes and skip so many chapters. There would be a huge pacing issue.

This would definitely be a problem for an anime adaption, it would 100% need to cut 'less important' scenes/chapters for the sake of getting to the bigger plot points like the dragon within a TV anime time frame.

Most of the early manga at least is legit just slow character/world building while they have a monster of the week to eat, without any real advancement of the plot or big action sequences.

its already got a beautiful PV done, already a step ahead of most manga that want adaptions
Also why do you even want an anime for this, genuinely curious? The manga format is too suitable, is there a need for any more?

Senshi

Are you genuinely autistic?
>Why do you want to see this story you've enjoyed with the added layer of music, VA, and animation?Huurrrrr I don't get it

It would have to be paced like a LN adaptation.

If you want music, VA, and animation, get it from a story that it's suited to. If you can't appreciate manga, why are you trying? Stick to the plebery that suits your preferences.

You need to adapt 28 chapters in 12 episodes. You can probably squeeze three chapters in one episode at the beginning, because those chapters were smaller then, and possibly at the end, because the fight against the dragon was faster paced than typical. It's doable.

I read more manga than you, autist, and probably watched less crap than you, and unlike you I don't shit my pants at the thoughts of people enjoying the story in another form.

It's doable but it would be rushed as fuck and would most likely cut out a lot of 'unimportant' scenes and dialogue, when all that extra detail and world building is a major part of what makes Dungeon Meshi good.

Squeezing chapters in is the problem. It's the small things that make the manga so good. The attention to detail and world building that she puts into it would be completely rushed.

The characters are what make the manga so good. The small things don't depend on the pacing of the manga that much because they're supposed to be unremarkables at first glance, so focusing on them would be counter to that. For example Kensuke changing crossguards would work regardless of the pacing (although this particular plot point would only start around a season 2)
