Lately I’m loving more the moments between Ishigami/Kaguya than with Prez. I know that they only are a platonic relationship but man.. Ishigami is a better fit for Kaguya than Miyuki. He’s not dense and he’s very assertive in many ways. I could see them together if the circumstances were different. Miyuki isn’t a bad guy but he fits more with Hayasaka or Fujiwara but that’s not the point I want to talk in this thread. I think the story would be more enjoyable and better if the canon ship was Kaguya/ishigami. The main two characters (Kaguya and Miyuki) fell in love with different people. I know this story is about Kaguya/Miyuki but I think the story could be written in many ways and one of them is with Ishigami as Kaguya’s love interest.
I only focused in the chemistry side. From my view point I could see a romantic relationship between them but obviously that wouldn’t happen since she’s in a relationship with Miyuki and she loves him. I know that there’s no way to see them together but in another circumstances they would be more than just platonic friends. You could see that Ishigami is the second man she loves after Miyuki. If in a hypothetically scenery where prez left Kaguya behind to go for Standford or they break after some time, you could see Ishigami trying to comfort and support Kaguya and be the man she needs in that moment. He’s the man she could be okay to be with if Shirogane wasn’t there. That’s what I think.

Yeah. IshiGuya would have been the most popular relationship in recent romcom history if it happend. First, -The Culture Festival confession was extremely predictable and cringe.As soon as I heard: The balloons are gone, I knew Shirogane took them.
Another thing that annoys me personally with this, is that this is an extremely selfish behaviour as he took all the balloons (that were painstakingly put up, planned etc.) without asking anyone for his confession.
Also, how he mislead his friends to get a moment alone with Kaguya was something I didn't like.
All in all, for me personally, this confession was cringe and selfish, not the least bit romantic.
Then again, I am aware that this is an unpopular opinion IMO it wasn't as good as the other chapters and is my least favourite scene, Ishigami's story arcs are the most interesting and entertaining ones.
