Does anyone have any ideas on how Hori will justify having Bakugo continue being portrayed Midoriya's main rival. The last time the two had a fight he had to give it his all while Deku was only using 5 % of his power, let that sink in for a second.
The MC of the series was more or less even with his rival when accessing just 5% of his power. When you look at this its obvious he'll surpass Bakugo long before he reaches the half way mark.
Make bakugo do better in school. It's my hero *academia*.
Robert James
In a lot of other classic series the MC will have a succession of rivals as the series progresses and they become stronger. Goku had several rivals over the years before Toriyama settled on Vegeta. Sasuke was allowed to be as powerful as the MC as the series progressed. Bakugo's quirk and the in universe rules about how powers work don't seem to allow for that. So it seems Hori will have to make a new rival to replace Bakugo sooner rather than later.
Andrew James
it just going to be a "becasue she is erza" thing but with bakugou instead.
Charles Cook
Isn’t it obvious user? Explode harder.
Michael Howard
Everybody gets a free OfA
Ryder Murphy
Bakugo is already dead anons. Didn’t you see it? It was trending in japan a while back.
Oliver Price
lmao Hori will just make Bakushit explode harder
Luke Foster
He's going to ask deku for some of his DNA.
Landon Martin
Sure, just piss the first 200 chapters down the drain.
Matthew King
Can bakugo even be called a rival? Bakugo just screams at deku, deku doesn't want to pick any fights and the rest of the cast somehow things these two are friends.
Sebastian Russell
Well seeing as how this current arc is eerily similar to the second movie, they're probably going to "kill off" Deku. But giving OfA directly to Bakugou would be some bullshit writing because he's be just copying the movie.
So Deku will probably retain a large percent of OfA and become a villain/vigilante because something in the current arc is going to make him realize pro-heroism is bullshit
Chase Ortiz
spoiler: deku give Bakugo the fucking quirk
Logan Morris
that would be absurd.
Asher Watson
>attacks named after flashbangs, armor piercing rounds, howitzers >explosion quirk >prime example of the theory evil doctor created >still rising with the plot how will he end up top tier?
>Deku gives Bakugou a few of his 7 quirks >Stockpiling power is one of them >Bakugou can now grow infinitely stronger as Deku unlocks more percentage of One for All.
Evan Anderson
>Anyone have any ideas how Hori can avoid this? All hori has to do is asspull bakugo, just like he did in bakugo vs deku 2, where he tanked a 5% punch directly to the face just because. The sperge can also use his quirk infinitely and its drawbacks are a joke, so hori can asspull anything and the non-existent worldbuilding helps him in doing this
Jace Sullivan
He's literally second in the class in terms of academics.
Andrew Gutierrez
Deku will be able to “split” one for all down the line to share his power with others while still maintaining it. That’s it.
Nathaniel Green
Are going to say >I was just pretending to be retarded
Connor Peterson
It's called an asspull. His quirk will just randomly start manifesting in some new super awesome powerful way.
MHA is still pretty early on in the story, the kids are still first year students and we're already seeing serious power scaling issues. Deku and Shiggy are about to be orders of magnitudes stronger than every other character in the universe. Theres Shiggy and Deku at the top and everyone else is fucking useless. Usually battle shounen stall out these issues for much longer.
Christopher Rivera
>All hori has to do is asspull bakugo, just like he did in bakugo vs deku 2, where he tanked a 5% punch directly to the face just because. Did you miss him and Deku's fight against the All Might and all the shit he took head on and still kept kicking in that fight? Including but not limited to: being kicked into the top floor of a building with a knee to the face, being slammed into the ground at least three times with enough force to create a crater, and getting smacked with Deku's body by all might. Bakugou has some pretty high durability. 5% of Deku's strength really isn't that big a deal for him to be able to tank in comparison.
Nathan Wilson
>5% of Deku's strength really isn't that big a deal for him to be able to tank in comparison. A 5% punch punch thrown directly to the face isn't a big deal? It's an asspull
Evan Bell
He's actually going to die in the next few chapters
Logan Walker
You have to explain why Bakugo is able to keep up with Deku in terms of speed, strength, and endurance when that's specifically what Deku's power is all about and it's shown to be OP as fuck meanwhile Bakugo's power is just that he excretes explosive. "He just can" doesn't cut it.
Liam Davis
Sasuke is not even in the realm of comparison, his ascent to power was one of the main themes of the series from day 0 Bakugo leveling up to match Deku would be some contrived garbage
Luke Reed
>"He just can" doesn't cut it That's how hori is developing bakugo's power. "Explode harder" is how bakugo is going to keep up with deku
Dylan Barnes
Compared to All Might's knee to his face that sent him into the top floor of a fucking building and Bakugou was immediately able to recover from it? Yeah. It's kind of not. Deku's 5% punch to the face wasn't shit compared to All Might's knee. It'd be an asspull if we didn't have that mock battle with All Might showing that Bakugou can take insane amounts of punishment and keep on trucking, but we did, so it's not an asspull. You can dislike it, but it's actually pretty consistent with what's already been shown
Joshua Adams
Have you missed a "All Mights knee to the FACE that sends him flying UPWARDS, TOUGH A WALL ON THE SECOND FLOOR"?
Realistically, his head should have been vaporized.
John Jackson
I know thats why I said Hori will have to replace Bakugo with a n ew rival or abandon the rival concept altogether.
Tyler Howard
He's going to die. Very soon, in fact. Along with everyone else in the class
Hunter Cooper
The series will be great if true, but I doubt it will actually happen
Chase Allen
As for speed and strength, the force behind explosions is exceptionally high. Bakugou's precision in using them to boost his movement and strikes is pretty self-explanatory in why he's able to keep up with Deku's low percentage's. As for endurance I just assume having a quirk naturally boosts people's physiology in MHA's world seeing people like Stain who can beat the shit out of pro-heroes and do shit like run on walls like a spider and fight deku, shouto, and lida all at once when his quirk is just the blood shit. However the day Bakugou takes a hit from Deku like the one Deku gave Nomu or Muscular is the day I have to drop the manga.
>Compared to All Might's knee to his face that sent him into the top floor of a fucking building and Bakugou was immediately able to recover from it? Knee to the face? Never happened happened, at least not in the manga. Also bakugo was never able to "immediately recover" form any of all might's hits. So yeah a 5% punch, thrown directly to the face should have hurt him a lot more. Anyway bakugo's durability is already a dumb asspull
Michael Morales
Oh, god, you are a bakufag, no wonder you justify everything he does. There's no point in arguing with you
