I hate the fact that Shirou never loved Rin as much as he loved Saber or Sakura. I hate that it seems that he was never happy being with her. I hate that we've never had a powerful love moment between them.

Face the facts, user. Shirou never loved anyone.
Throughout all FSN arcs, there is close to zero genuine sexual/romantic tension between these characters, if you exclude the sex scenes.
Shirou is either a supremely horribly written character, or designed this way by intention: he only cares about his own little world, that's littered with humanistic values and saving people, and something about swords sprinkled on top. Everything else he does, especially in relation to women in his life, feels incredibly forced and bland.

and yet their relationship is the most realistic out of them

Given Rin becomes Shirou's magic teacher in UBW, it's like a student/teacher sex fantasy

Her being a heroine was tacked on late in development after the idea of her as a feMC was scrapped.

she was originally planned as an antagonist

which places her into the perfect position for a perfect love interest, since sexual tension in stories plays very nicely with ideological conflict.
Enemies of opposite sex banging each other is the best tension release the audience could wish for.
Shame the writer was handed the perfect scenario and mishandled it so horribly

Rin is shit

>Rin is the shit
fixed

>Rin is a baby-brained pants shitter
Fixed.

That's so stupid I find it hard to view it as an insult

What's with that awful font though

>the guy has to be as lovey dovey as the girl
Haha no. All a guy needs to do is to be faithful.

imagine unironically self inserting as shirou

People that self insert are fucking weird. You shouldnt do it at all.

Don't worry user. Saberkeks share your pain since Shirou will ALWAYS put Sakura (his wife) first.

Imagine self-inserting into Rin's vagina

You and I know Rin would cuck Sakura at the very first opportunity, and it would be glorious to watch the drama unfold

You'd have to be genuinely deranged to self-insert as Shirou

....Okay I suppose it's not so bad.

Rin Is a great character but a bad written love interest.
I blame Nasu mediocre writing, Since Rin romance should be easy to write.

Rin has always been the independent heroine. She can exist perfectly fine with or without Shirou, and her life doesn't revolve around him. Therefore when they ARE in a relationship, they're equals through and through. Rin doesn't need to fall over him to prove she loves him.

>Rin has always been the independent heroine
That Is why people doesn't like her as a love interest.
They just want lame waifus.

That's another reason why they get so mad that Rin moves on in her life after Sakura and Shirou get together in HF. What'd they expect her to do? Live miserably and alone like Sakura in the other two routes?

This. Rin is perfect as she is. She doesn't need Sh*rou to be a compelling character.

I don't know why, but the phrase I heard Rin say in this video was "Shirou, you're doing it wrong!"

They have the same problem with ishtarin.

It would be a perfectly Rin thing to do, to seduce Shirou, and when discovered by Sakura, to say "What? Siblings should share."
