In short, I love everything about her. She's shy and doesn't have a lot of self confidence, and she may be hesitant and second guesses herself, but she's still very strong and brave regardless. She puts the feelings of others above her own without fail. She's so kindhearted. She's a genuinely good person. She wants to make other people happy, and that makes her happy. She's willing to give her life to a cause she thinks is worth it, and she's not suicidal about it. She's only willing to die if she thinks it's her only option. She's willing to give up everything that makes her happy in order to save everyone. She never loses sight of hope (except the couple of times she did).
Also she is very cute.

Don't get all the hate Madoka gets from people saying she didn't do anything. Being indecisive is part of her character growth. She's supposed to learn and come to the decision by observing the other characters. Also, she did do stuff. It's just that it was limited to what she was capable of as a normal human being.
