that's kind of blurring the line between what's a clone and what's the real deal.

Also I feel conflicted about the other harem member and the differences in how they were depicted in the show vs. on paper.

akasha (inner's mom) is alukard, the demon boss at the end, akasha's body is literally shown coming out from alukard, but since the body didn't had a mind of its own, it took outer personality and memories sealed within the rosario to gain sentience

It is blurring the line, but the author goes to lengths in the epilogue to settle the debate prematurely.

It’s more of an enhanced clone with certain, specifically selected defaults. There is some poetry that Akasha was able to impart Moka with a surrogate mom to help her grow into her best self as any parent wants for their child, as well.

But the memes of cucking and NTR are dumb reductions.

Most of this is right, but:

Tsukune isn’t confused by Akasha, he’s confused in the epilogue because Moka has begun to act a bit more like her outer personality.

It’s the whole “two souls becoming one” premonition that was started back in that Gremlin episode. Heck, it started back in Season 1 where Tsukune insisted that both personalities were important to him.

That was certainly a difficult time, but during the actual story, Outer Moka is definitely helping Inner Moka open up to people and find a more positive person outlook in life

I would recommend trying to find all of the unofficial translations, even for the last couple chapters.

Some of the official translations edit out cuss-words or whole-heartedly change the meaning of certain statements, which I feel is a loss to the manga as a whole.

Where would the story have gone, though? From the beginning it was never up in the air as to with whom Tsukune would end up with, and now that he's sealed the deal with Moka, repeating the conflicted romance thing would be just stale. Their power dynamic is gone too, so it's not like there's any "no i protec YOU" trope leftover to milk.

Although, it'd be pretty damn funny if the story went the JoJo way and did some vaguely explained timeskip followed by Schoolmaster Tsukune's Bizarre Adventure with the product of his nu-vampire loins.
