If you're talking about that school scene in the first trial where Satella appears in front of Echidna and then Sekhmet sends her off...it's cut from the light novels so it most likely won't make it in the anime.

Betty and Patrasche are tied for best girls in my opinion, both of them are entirely selfless to the point where it actually hits kind of hard when Patrasche eats Subaru in Arc 6 and he starts fearing her for a bit afterwards.

I wonder what will be animefags' reception of Beatrice this second season. She hasn't had any buildup to guarantee a foreboding impact on her presence in the incoming arc. We haven't had any of that but season 2 will open up with new clues about Beatrice's background and an apparent focus to her subplot that will be featured both in the current arc and for the rest of the season. That said, I think people will accuse the author for bringing Betty to the limelight but only for a moment. Because then Betty's plot string will be buried up by the main events of Arc 4; but then again, that will only be brought up again with none to minor buildup about Betty that warrants places for development (depends on how the anime scores Betty points), again. They could start there but it will be out of place but thankfully, her bringing up about Juice could potentially be served as leverage. Truth of the matter is, the anime hadn't made us learn more enough about Betty, the point of her character all in all, how the aforementioned will be important will to the second season anime receiving her and where in the world does she fit into this. The things we've only learned about her so far is that she's the guardian of the archives, a girl with a terrible personality but has a caring attitude and traits of not wanting to be alone; that and she doesn't want to see someone wither away where she can see them. We don't know who she is supposed to protect the archives for and that hasn't been delved on, but it's there to with her to hold her hand. Did she mention that she was waiting for someone? I forgot about this part but did she already mention anything about living for 400 years, or the fact that she is an artificial spirit (otherwise Subaru would start calling her lolibaba)? She's a loner but she's made the actions recognizable that she has an important role in the overall plot.

And most of all, she has a role in serving as the most direct link to Echidna's web of relationships and the viewer's adding an underlying depth of cluing her as The Mother instead of the anime's next candidate of big bad, bringing context in hindsight on who's this character could possibly be and not out of place. Beatrice hasn't made any mention about Mother once unless you've watched Memory Snow, and this is important for her, adding a plot to her character because she's the only one who's isolated from the present's worldbuilding outside of Subaru. That and in my opinion, her bringing that up even under all of the mess rounding up the evacuees in Arc 3 made us learn that there's more about Beatrice and her history of accompanying strangers—they could do that but not without risking the pace.
I'm arguing about Beatrice's place in the next part and how will she be received in the anime. I'm bringing this up because light novel harems have the tendency of bringing a haremette into the limelight for each volume—no surprise Re:Zero has been painted as another harem anime.
But you guys said Betty'll have less appearance than appreciated until the last bits of the season woth so many things occuring at the same time, 2nd cour at that too at the late. So I guess I'm running my horse around.
