happened to me IRL, minus the being Cirno or dreaming, the bird also died when i was sleeping.

I found a faun about maybe less than a day old outside my house, i thought it was lost or mother died.

Found out later the parents leave them for up to a whole day alone while looking for food, they have zero smell on them so its harder for predators to find them. Dont know what happened, im assuming it was fine, didn't see any signs of struggle where it was.

it's probably not the case for fauns but if you touch a little bird, the parents will abandon him because it has your odor on it.
be very careful with baby birds.
