Netflix licenced the 2019 series for international distribution.

I see no consistency. some are good, some are bad, most are mediocre. I guess I would like less cgi and a couple of those are clearly pozzed as you'd expect from netflix, but honestly it has as much to do with the author as it has with the production

Little Witch Academia was a masterpiece.
Dorohedoro was good.
Hi Score Girl was nice.
Sidonia no Kishi was surprisingly good. (the Blame film could have been better though)
Magmell was meh at best.
Violet Evergarden was disappointing except for the animation.

for the others, most are trash and some of them i haven't watched yet (Ajin and BNA are on my PC but i haven't started them yet).

i wouldn't say anything Netflix is bad but the habit of mass releasing their episodes kills all discussions on anime boards/forums, so it's not really a good way of making an anime popular since the time of exposure is drastically reduced.

What is netflix original even supposed to mean?

Netflix is just a like a supermarket, they don't make anime, they usually buy licenses so their name appears next to this anime and sometimes they sponsor an anime, but that's all they do.

Oversaturated with 3DCG shit. Which is worrying, because the day anime stops being drawn in 2D is the day I walk away from this hobby for good. Unless, somehow, they can create 3DCG that actually looks good, but even acclaimed stuff like Land of the Lustrous didn't give me the same satisfaction that well-animated 2D does. The technology to do that is probably decades away.

Their actual anime has some OK stuff (VEG, LWA, Dragon Pilot, Kakegurui, C&T, Saiki), but no stand-out hits that actually yield the returns that fund all of the other stuff. But hey, if they're still funding this stuff then I guess it's making enough money to make sense to do so. Although, I am skeptical it is actually making money and not just a way for Netflix to inflate its valuation to shareholders by expanding into other entertainment sectors.

Netflix doesn't really create anime, they just fund the anime and distribute it on their platform. It's essentially anime made with Netfix money. The studios and directors and staff are still the same regular Japanese people, but the anime debuts on Netflix rather than actual TV and doesn't appear on other platforms.

Everything else was mediocre or trash like the 2nd half of the TV anime

LWA is my favorite anime because it's made me feel a special joy I pretty much haven't had with most other great anime but I do wish the second cour could have been a lot stronger before the eventual Grand Triskelion release. I do forgive its flaws for having such a wonderful payoff but it certainly could have been much better too

A bunch of that is Chinese and/or American, therefore not anime or manga, therefore not Zig Forums.

I wanted to watch BNA on Netflix but 10 minutes into the first episode I had to stop cause the subtitles looked like shit, just finished watching it on my go-to anime website

I hate crunchyroll but the one good thing they've done is have subtitles that are actually readable.
