What is Shaman King?
>Shaman King revolves around Yoh Asakura, a shaman, a medium between the worlds of the living and the dead. Yoh seeks to become the Shaman King, the one who is able to contact the Great Spirit, and will gain the ability to reshape the world in any way they wish, and for this purpose, he must win the Shaman Fight, a battle held once every 500 years between competing shamans.

The first part is pretty boring and very power-level kind of shonen, until the real history/politics and sides in the manga start to become more evident. But maybe I'm biased since it was my first anime, plus my first manga.

Just finished the manga. The Patch Tribe are giant assholes that don't deserve to be revived in any way or form. Those last 10 fights made me somehow hate even Silva. Their whole holier and thou attitude and pretending they do it for the "tradition" just screams hypocrisy. The microphone guy was especially annoying
