The only dumb one here is you, the whole point of attaching the gum is to use your superior strength to pull the opponent, you cannot do that with a physically superior one because it's just like pulling a rope, the gum doesn't give Hisoka an inherent advantage, it does only against physically weaker ones like Gon. He couldn't move Razor's nen beast 1 inch closer to him. The same would happen with Uvo. So all Hisoka has left is to detach the gum to avoid getting pulled in himself, but by doing so the gum gets weaker. Once detached, the gum will tear after a 10 milliliter stretch, as explained in chapter 80, so Uvo will get rid of it easily, assuming Hisoka manages to attach it in the first place

Who cares about that shit? Just like Kortopi isn't supposed to be able to duplicate organic material as explained on his card. So I take that with a grain of salt. Yes, I did read the manga, and yes, that's contradicted by the dodgeball match and what he did to Machi. Because Togashi writes what he wants. He also wasn't supposed to replicate textures, only appearance. The story takes precedence.
