I would say Berserk 2016/17, but that was a decent adaptation despite the shitty animation. Looking back on Progressive with the knowledge that Gainax sold off the property to I.G. to avoid paying their debt to Anno/Khara, it makes sense why it was bad. Alternative was a much better, well, alternative, since the creative team for that wanted to do something new with the characters/setting and had a vision that wasn't "LOOK, ITS FLCL! REMEMBER CANTI? LOOK, IT'S MAMIMI AND NAOTA IN THE ENDING ANIMATION THAT ISN'T EVEN RELATED TO THE SHOW."

I won't say "worst" in any objective sense, but I'd say the show I had the worst viewing experience with would be Shinsekai Yori. I just didn't get it, and it kept going and going and going. I kept watching because people told me it was a masterpiece, though. Next to that, I'd say it was Erased, because the first four episodes hooked me and then it let me down hard.

Ignoring stuff that I watched as like an underageb& and enjoyed at the time, and stuff I specifically watched for so-bad-it's-good (MoMH and shit), I might say Akito the Exiled. I really just hated that all the way through, would have dropped it usually but the Geass title kept me there somehow.
