Got done watching this show last night. Enjoyed it overall, but for the most part it felt...hollow? Unfinished? Rushed? To me it's one of those rare shows that should've been a full 24/26 episodes rather than the 12/13, which is the opposite of what often happens. They had a world that I would've liked more fleshed out, and I suppose they could do that with a second season pretty easily.

If they stopped working with the same writer that wouldn't happen. Everyone loves to blame the studio in the sort of nebulous fashion that you are when the common denominator present across all of these storys is the guy they have been getting to write for them.

I think it's much better to look at it as a cast introduction. Really, all the main players are still at large, and now that relationship and settings are well established they have a vibrant world to tell buddy superhero cop stories that don't need a hard ending. Kind of like it's just another day in anima city.
Of course this only works if there are more seasonseven tho I'm skeptical there will be.
